My Story - Part 2
by Jeremy C inlike many jw children, i was deeply influenced and motivated by watchtower society artwork depicting the new system of things.
i was profoundly influenced by artwork (particularly in the book: you can live forever in paradise on earth) that portrayed children petting tigers, playing with lion cubs, running through grassy fields with kites, and enjoying care-free lives.
what i now realized about myself is that for a jw to desire such things; and to go through the motions - performing organizationally-programmed activity in order to receive this reward; does not necessarily require a love for god or christ that is any deeper than other religionists.

anyone writing about Dave Madzay obviously never new him!!!!!!!!!!!!
by donna4174 ini am writing because i am tired of people talking about rumours that they heard about dave madzay,he was the kindest , most intelligent man i ever new, yes he was df but only jehovah can judge him for things he did, no one else.he was an elder very high up in bethel who gave the most wonderful talks, helped many people, brought a lot of people into the truth and yet when he died not one jw attended his funeral.
how sad that a man who was so high up in bethel could be treated like this...........i was brought up in the truth until i was 15 , and turned away because of how dave was treated, even though dave had jehovah in his heart right up until his last breath and did everything he could do to be reinstated but sadly never was.........................i know i knew him

New Stupid Assembly Rules
by WTWizard ini have heard on this discussion board numerous rules that apply to upcoming a$$emblies.
some are designed to stop people from meeting the opposite sex; others, to make sure everyone is always ready to recruit new members into the scam.
i heard that some km inserts have been urging those whose congregation has cleaning assignments to sit in the section that they are assigned to clean.

A "Man" in Spite of the Organization: ISOCF
by compound complex inwhat does it mean to "keep jehovah's organization clean"?
[...] it means that those men will continue to apply with all due vigor whatever policy may be current and they will disfellowship anyone who does not adhere to that policy ... the main concern is to be obedient to society policy.
the feeling is created that 'if the organization tells us to do it we will not be held responsible by god if it is a mistake.

An Assembly "Experience"-and the rest of the story
by CaptainSchmideo ina brother was on the program for the saturday afternoon session as one of those "life experiences" interviews.
tells the tale about how he left a lucrative, well paying position to "help where the need was greater.
" moved from a major metropolitan area to a congregation in the rurals, was told by managers that the job he was going to was "a dead end".

Crisis of Conscience as an e-book?
by Mickey mouse inthis is a suggestion really, i don't know if it's in the right sub-forum.
i have read the chapters available online via wikipedia but the risk involved in ordering the book to read the rest is just too great.
does anyone who knows ray franz feel that they could approach him about getting the book made available to purchase online as an e-book?
