Do you have "Nice Roads" where you live?
by JH in.
here, the roads are in terrible shape.
with 4 distinct seasons, we have many potholes this time of year, and they don't pave streets very often....like maybe once every 40 years for secondary roads, and maybe once every 10 years for major arteries.. all they seem to do around here is patch roads, not pave entire lengths like they used to not so many years ago.. i was just wondering if this was just here...

Personal Accomplishments
by Uzzah infor years, the watchtower drilled into us that we are just specs of unimportant dust.
personal pride was touted as being something wrong and a trait of the devil.
that mentality stifles creativity and initiative, which i suppose is what they want.

Meet the pup......
by bikerchic ini just wanted to introduce to you our new dog.
he's a 5 year old sheltie named samba.
we adopted him from a family who had to give him up due to allergies, it broke their heart to part with him as they had put a lot of love and care into him.

72% Voter Turnout in Iraq
by Elsewhere inthe voter turnout for the 2004 us presidential election was 60.7% (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/a10492-2005jan14.html).
despite being threatened by terrorists, iraq's voter turnout was much greater than the last us voter turnout!
i'd say it was a far greater success than expected!

seeking help
by stopthepain ini have never sought out proffesional help.i guess the way i am is part of that stubborn old school mentality of"i don't need any help".i think i can fight through alot of my feelings.as a raised, insecure, unhappy, negative ex jw child,do members on this forum think someone such as myself should seek psycological help(even if yes, why?
)why can't i fully move on?does just vocalizing these issues help?.
i know the answer, but i'm afraid to deal with it.i guess i'm just having a bad day.i'm glad i have this meesage board .youve all been great, sorry to bother with my pitifull emotions,.
