it has been brought to our attention that certain brothers have had questions regarding the societies' membership as a non governmental organization with the united nations from 1991-2001. rest assured that we are no longer members, having removed ourselves from this organization over 3 years ago.
it was only in our undaunted zeal to proclaim the good news to "all nations" (as was jesus' admonition), in these critical last days, that the faithful slave class approved membership as an ngo.

i am working on a david letterman type of ?top ten list?
to publicize my seminars with local churches.
sort of the top ten reasons a pastor would want his parishioners to become more familiar with the beliefs and practices of jehovah's witnesses.

hi.. i was reading another post about asking for your personal files.
i was wondering if anyone knew if the society send copies of letters you have sent to them to your congregation.. i recently sent them a letter asking about the old information about the 1914 generation on their website.. i received a letter back from them that didn't answer the question (what's new) but was more a slap on the wrist for even deigning to ask.
i was directed to a couple of articles about the apreciation and good use of older publications and told that older light had to be taken into regard with newer light and that older books still have their worth as long as we use newer ones as well.... talk about confusing.. anyway, i was wondering if they would send the elders in my congregation a copy of my letter to them?.

serena claims she puts god first, family second and tennis third in her life.
see "serena trying to stay focused on tennis.
when you're the first tennis player to have a bobblehead doll cast in your image, what's to worry?

my sister called me last night and wanted me to go to an assembly with her in san francisco..she has a part on stage...i declined but she stated that her assembly mentioned the jw growth is at its greatist peak and still climbing....i asked if she really believes that and she mentioned all the new congregations in sacramento and auburn area and said the baptisim was so full they had to extend the lunch period.....is there any info to prove her wrong?..i have not gone this year..did any body attend and get this same info?

ok, i admit it...as a jehovah's witness, i burned a book.
when i was about 10 years old, a sister gave my mother a box of books.
i had been baptized for over a year and was quite the "little witness.

just borrowed a wtcd from a friend................ i carn't believe a "non" profit organisation can do this or rather put restrictions on the the coping of the wt cdrom.
isn't there literature distributed free?
then why is make the copying of the wt library for the benefit of declaring the "truth" wrong!

just my 2 cents but if i was to post what i would consider to be the single most convincing arrogant blunder of the wt(for me in my time) it would have to be below.
: when i heard this 'proclamation' i, (and many others at my cong) were convinced that this had to finally be it.
because there just was no way the wt could possibly say no babies again and not have it be the final, real ready rapture.

what's the society's latest teaching on voting?
is it a "conscience" matter or is it still forbidden?
i got into a discussion with a jw on another board and she says it may be ok to go into voting booth to avoid danger but it 3was forbidden to actually vote for a candidate.
