What Motivates YOU to Post Here?
by trevor indefd has said he will leave and it caused me reflect on how he was treated.
are we happy with the way we responded when he tried to defend his faith?
this and comments about my own attitude have caused me to review my motive for the posts i make.. when i first started posting here i was thoughtful and sincere as were most of the posters back then.

JOHANNES GREBER....Who Was He?
by RevFrank inover the period of time i've watched and read plenty on the watchtower society and their leaders, yet not too much on johannes greber.....no he wasn't the founder of gerber foods.....lol... so i did a little more research on him and he was a former catholic priest....here's what i found out......... who was johannes greber?
johannes greber was an ex-catholic priest who took it upon himself to translate his own version of the new testament.
to aid him in this endeavor, he contacted the "spiritworld" to reveal the proper remderings of the scriptures he sought.

REGRETS and how I handle them.
by RevFrank inhello friends.......
i've been reading stories on, i should have done, , or i shouldn't have done, which to me turn to regretting it ever took place or not.
just thinking on what was or what we haven't done can bring anger, or frustration to mind.

How do you deal with regret?
by sonnyboy ini'm wondering if anyone here has devised good techniques for handling regret.. i've been thinking about high school a lot lately, and "what could have been" is eating away at me.
i still had the dub mentality, and i didn't really associate with many people.
i was constantly called a 'snob' because i kept to myself, and i had people asking me to do things after school all the time, people who could have been life-long friends.

Why One "Inspired" Bible...but endless "literature" about it?
by upside/down in"christians" are so proud of their one bible... the most widely distributed...blah blah blah...and thus it must be "god's" word.... yet the wts (in particular) is constantly producing new "literature"...why?.
can't they comment on what they "know" about a certain scripture and leave it at that...i mean how much real "new light" is there?.
they just rehash the same old crap over and over.... cheeezus...print one book...and then just "revise" it as needed... oh wait...i thought they had one book...the bible.... why do the interpretations need interpretation...???.

WT Article on Mennonites - Wow... Double Standards
by indoubt ini usually don't read wt or awakes, but i stumbled on an article that shows the borg's two-facedness.. the article talks about a group of mennonites that had doubts about their religion and wanted to study with the jws.
after the first paragraph, i realized that i had felt exactly like those poor mennonites when i decided to study the jw's history.
let me explain... i have scanned some parts of the articles: .
