SEX change
by jolly_green_giant ini just thought of a weird question.. what would happen if a jw decided that they wanted to have a sex change and still be a jw.
i think that they'd more than likely be df'd, but would they ever be able to be re-instated in the future if they wanted to?
that'd be odd if they attended the same congragation after.

The Debate: Do JW's Need Respect?
by Mindchild inthis thread will hopefully serve as the platform for a friendly debate about the issue of how much respect the watchtower society deserves from ex-jehovah's witnesses.
do we blast the hell out of the borg and don't let a kind word in edgewise?
do we acknowledge that they have done some things right and (shudder) even good?

Working with JWs
by Ivor Hope inhas anyone out there had experience of working for or with jws?.
is it just me, or are they the worst people to work with....they "use" anybody for their own ends, they expect everyone else to make allowances for their life style but are not prepared to make allowances for anyone else's, they do as little as they can for as long as they can and have absolutely no loyalty to their employers or fellow workers!!.
my recent experience is that they also will be "economical" with the truth (the real truth), as long as it benefits them.. maybe i'm a bit biased, but i would never want to work with or for another witness ever again!

Need Help FAST!
by TweetieBird inmy son (who's 15) came home from the meeting last night (he thinks he wants to be a witness, but that's in another thread) and said that his grandmother (my mother-in-law) told him my reason for not going to meetings (the un thing, also discussed in another thread).
he told me that i need to talk to the po about it as he had heard about it a while back and has some information.. hmmmm, me thinks the mom-in-law has been talking to the po about what i told her last week.
i'm sure that i will be getting a shepherding call (a drop-by, unscheduled visit) by him this weekend.
