The faithlessness here
by grissom6471 init is a shame that people are here portraying themselves as jehovah's witness as having some knowlege or going to meetings.
what exists here is a complete lack of faith in anything.
and a great amount of stupidity.

After being a JW, do you experience panic when someone expresses disapproval
by Elsewhere inhaving grown up in the wts i was always taught that there are very serious consequences that result when those in authority do not approve of you.. q: what happens when you break a wt rule?.
a: very quick and brutal punishment in the form of shunning and ostracism.
there is no middle ground... you either get no punishment or extremely severe punishment.. having grown up knowing only those two possible outcomes i find that i tend to become panicked when friends or authority figures express disapproval.

Easy, Healthful Snacks - Suggestions wanted.
by AudeSapere inthis is an extension of my other thread ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/114967/1.ashx) but seemed to warrant it's own heading since it will probably attract different people and can have so many other applications, too.. since i'm home alone nursing a broken ankle and injured knee, getting downstairs to make breakfast and other meals is pretty difficult right now.. .
does anyone have any suggestions for foods to keep upstairs that are reasonably healthy and do not require refrigeration?
i can bring up a coffee pot for coffee and tea.

OFG 2002 a.k.a. souljah My Old Screen Name On JWD
by OpenFireGlass injust dug this up to see who i used to be compared to who i was 5 years ago.... for one, my email address changed 5 times between now and then, so i couldn't retrieve my password... for two, by the time i came back around my belief in god had changed... so when i was souljah wich reflected my belief in (a) god (soul jah).. .
at this point i would describe myself as agnostic... mostly what i feel i need to do is pick apart everything i ever thought was true, and not believe something just cause i was comfotable with it.
so yes, i'm an ever changing person... maybe one day i might have some sort of faith in something, but for now i've given up the search, and living life the best i know how.. mike.

Going to another church
by I-follow-the-narrow-path ini have been missing some meetings... i don't know what my jw teacher thinks.
i seriously could care less at this point.
i just don't want to do it anymore... i want to praise god my way... not because some else says this is the way.

Is This Kind of Behavior at a Concert Acceptable?? Need Your Opinions.
by Seeker4 inyesterday i attended a music festival.
ten hours long, maybe a dozen or so acts.
when the next to the last act appeared, james mcmurtry, the son of writer larry mcmurtry and a hell of a songwriter/musician, his fans were invited to "dance in front of the stage and in the aisles.
