I apperciate your comments and thank you for your support. I know it's negative karma for me to already begin speaking about the worst befoer it has happened, but I am so used to disappointment that if it going to come, I would rather it happen quickly and be over.

I am very sorry and sad about your daughter. Boy, it's so odd that no one can completely get away from the WTBS without a major loss, tragedy or consequence. It's like a disease that keeps returning after treatment. It's almost like a cancer.

UR....you must know that your daughter knows you are there and feels the tremendous support going her way. My thoughts are with you and your family. God will see you through this and will be there for you no matter what. Keep your spirits up and take care of yourself.

Dear Marrio and girls, My heart goes out to you, I have spent many hours in ICU with a sick struggling child and an infant, but what you are going thru is beyond what I ever imagined going through. Nothing I have expierienced comes cIose to your personal cicumstances. I am glad you sent your personal address. I have shared your story with a dear friend in California and her husband. ex-jws. Our hearts go out to you we will be sending mail to your address as well.

I am, as everyone else has written, sorry to hear about Talia setback.

Ascot made a very good point; If she's reached a plateau, is it possible that her body just needs to rest for awhile, then will continue its recovery?

Everyone needs rest, including you, maybe she is resting right now, to regain her strength to fight again.

And i completely agree with bebu - if tears could heal your daughter would be hugging you at this moment.

Hey - I'm not under nearly the amount of stress that you are are having and i cheated on my diet! Lets give each a little time and we can have a new thread "did you cheat today?"

Thinking of you and your girls today. I wish you a moment of peace today, so that you can gather your strength and start today again.

Morning All:

Unfortunately, as everyone is aware, Talia's lungs are not making forward progress and healing. The life support equipment, ventilators and other apparatus are providing almost 100% of the necessary respiratory functions to sustain life.

Until she can produce about a 60% effort at breathing, supplemented by 40% equipment, the medical team cannot continue the grafting procedures to cover her wounds. We are in a stalemate situation between internal and external injuries, each requiring conflicting treatments, each causing complications for the other, and time is running out.

I am stressed, tired, exhausted, frustrated, angry, depressed, lonely, sad, suicidal, distraught, grieved and moritifed by this situation.

Lisa, thank you for the calls last night. I apologize for missing your calls and will call you ASAP according to your time zone. I want to thank everyone again for the outpouring of cards and gifts and calls and messages. Thank you, thank you!
