Motivations for Watchtower leadership
by GetMeOutofHere ini’ve struggled for some time with this question.
why would the elders, cos, branch committee, helpers to gb and the gb themselves devote their lives to progressing in the organization, if the whole thing is one big sham?
i have 3 ideas so far.. 1) money.

District convention to be held in assembly hall instead of stadium
by NikL inlast night they announced that this summers district convention will be held at an assembly hall.. this is the first time i've seen this happen.
there are a couple of congregations in the same hall here and they aren't going to the same ones.
they are having multiple dates.. the hall they are going to use can only hold 1500 people max.. just wondering if maybe they just couldnt get anything bigger this year or if the falling numbers are playing a part in this decision.

i’m not even going to consider the so called “unforgiveable sin” since no one knows what it is anyway!
is it lying, cheating, stealing, pride, envy, being gay?

How a rumor of assassination spooked the Watchtower
by Terry inpresident kennedy's brother robert excited the world as a candidate for president 5 years after jfk's murder.rfk, in turn, was murdered.the assassin's name was sirhan sirhan, he was palestinian.it just so happened the assassin's father, bishara, was a member in good standing as one of jehovah’s witnesses.so what?
so this:this seemingly innocent fact would jolt jehovah's witnesses into a near panic.
i know because i was there.here are the facts as i remember them.______the jehovah's witness, bishara sirhan unfortunately had a reputation in his neighborhood and community for being excitable, even volatile at times.

Failed Predictions - If at first you don't succeed - keep on sucking till you do
by Terry injehovah's witnesses aren't the only group whose forecasts, predictions, scare-stories, and data jumbling go awry.take a look:https://cei.org/blog/wrong-again-50-years-failed-eco-pocalyptic-predictions.
what's interesting in the above article is that it is eerily familiar to jw'swho debunk false teachings.
the reprinted news-clippings have strong impactand lend gravitas to the argument.what argument?there's a huge difference between science and bullshit because scienceis supposed to test its hypotheses.well - failure is a pretty good test.. 1967: dire famine forecast by 1975.
