What are the rules the WTS pharisees have burdended JWs with?
by berylblue inin another thread, mini questioned why the wts does not see that the gb and elders are like the pharisees.
what do you all think are the "rules" jws have been given that smack of pharisaical (is that a word?
) burdening and/or hypocricy?.

Help me out, please. A statement has been made elsewhere on the Internet .
by berylblue in...that.jws do not take delight in the death of billions of unrighteous ones at a. i was dumbfounded, but for the life of me i can't think of any solid examples of how the witnesses absolutely do gloat over the "baddies" dying at a. i no longer have any wt publications; does anyone know where such sick sentiments can be found?
the only example i could think of is the thunderous applaus at district assemblies when the bad guys bite the dust in one of their dramas, and that is not the evidence i am seeking.
while it certainly indicates their mindset, i'd rather have concrete, black and white examples of this disgusting attitude.. thanks,.

This is an honest question
by berylblue inafter perusing the various "freedom of speech" threads, i noted that anti-semitism is prohibited here, as (i imagine, by logical extension) would be anti-black, anti-latino, etc.
statements.
as well these things should be.

Last minute plea for help/Comedy: JWs/English ex-husband
by berylblue inokay, my comedy instructor says i can not use satan in my comedy routine...it's a shame, it really fit when i describe being a witness.
the bit about being df b/c i wasn't annoying enough at the doors was very well rec'd by my classmates, but i am leading in by saying how strict the religion is.
to what may i compare being a jw?

Women raised as JWs: Did the WTS views on women negatively impact you?
by berylblue ini'd really like to know.. my experience was that women who were raised in the "truth" and married to a good jw brother did not know how to make decisions.
from reading this board, this would, however, appear to be the least of their problems.. what specifically, if any, were the problems associated with always being told you were a second class person and not capable of making decisions?.

Posted in another thread but need to share this b/c it still upsets me
by berylblue insorry for being so self indulgent...i've been meaning to post this but had reached my limit, so i put it in another thread.. this still upsets me.
i don't know why it should...perhaps because i am, as my ex-husband stated, self-absorbed and childish.. but as part of my therapy, i present to you..... the car.
i don't drive and never have.

Can't stand the weight I've gained on my anti-depressant....
by berylblue in...i have my first comedy performance saturday, and i'm 15 pounds overweight.
i don't care that i'm still (albeit barely) in the acceptable weight range for my age/height (47/5'1"); i want to be thin again.
short of not eating for a week, does anyone have any suggestions?

Posted in another thread...help me to reason this out, please!
by berylblue innow here's a question this always bothered me.
using the example of the flood, jws were told that few would be saved at armegeddon.
also quoting jesus when he said that few are the ones finding the road to everlasting life.
