The LEGAL mindset of Jehovah's Governing authority (Plenary Power)
by Terry ina lot of the glaring distortions of common sense inherent in jehovah's witness mainstream thought flowed from the erratic legalist mindset of.
judge joe rutherford.. rutherford served for awhile as a prosecutor in a district attorney's office.. his view of "getting the job done" consisted of hammering away at an "enemy" with a litany of bullet points.. his theological mindset was hardly any different!.
look at the legal terms that seeped in to jw everyday parlance.. .

That's one fancy trick
by N.drew inrevelation 6:1-2. the watchtower has jesus in heaven with the one seated upon the throne (revelation 5:1) pictured as a lamb (revelation 5:6)and at the same time (6:1) as a rider on a white horse (revelation 6:2).
one of the four living creatures says (with of voice as of thunder) come!
all authority had been given jesus in heaven and on earth.

Did God know Adam and Eve will Sin? - JW perspective
by bioflex ini read about this topic sometime ago in one awake mag (cant rememer which one).
and from the jw perspective, he didnt know which means it took him by suprise or which makes it seem god is not as almighty as we would believe.
this is their reasoning.. http://www.watchtower.org/e/20110101a/article_01.htm.

What does "everlasting life" mean?
by N.drew injohn 3:16. i'll just say that the way i understand it is i am existing in it, it is not existing in me.. 166 (ai?nios) does not focus on the future per se, but rather on the quality of the age (165 /ai?n) it relates to.
thus believers live in "eternal (166 /ai?nios) life" right now, experiencing this quality of god's life now as a present possession.
(note the gk present tense of having eternal life in jn 3:36, 5:24, 6:47; cf.

Who is the Mighty God?
by s-c-3-1-3 inisaiah 9:10 says, for there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder.
and his name will be called wonderful counselor, mighty god, eternal father, and prince of peace.
in the next chapter, however, jehovah is described as the mighty god: and it will certainly occur in that day that those remaining over of israel and those who have escaped of the house of jacob will never again support themselves upon the one striking them, and they will certainly support themselves upon jehovah, the holy one of israel, in trueness.

Do JWs have a biblically normative relationship with Jesus christ?
by Vanderhoven7 ini would say that that would be impossible...given that jesus christ is simply an angelic being in wts eyes.. jehovah's witnesses have about as much a relationship with the angel gabriel as they do with jesus.. and, no...tacking on the name of jesus at the end of a prayer is not evidence of relationship..
