Have your faith been made stronger or made weaker since coming here?

Me personally, considerably weaker. In fact I have

become an agnostic.

Since I discovered this site over 6-7 yrs, we have

engaged in topics from Genesis to Rev.

We or I have come to realize stories in the Bible I

excepted as truth, (talking snake, flood, talking ass etc),

are just that, stories, myths.

A family of over 80 plus (Brothers, sisters, nephews,

nieces, aunts ,uncles, Jws and Christians) it,s no fun

at family gathering ,being the only non-believer.

But we do have some heated discussion (family).

Faith in Jesus Christ? Stronger. Faith in a mind-controlling organization? Weaker.

Knowing the facts can be painful but the truth of the matter does I think usually make us stronger. Anything else seems an illusion of strength to me.

I should have been more specific, faith in the Bible,

is it reliable. As I mention before we have discuss over

the years the fallacies regarding many of the stories

in the Bible.

Been out 40 plus years. When my wife and I walked away we left belief in god and the bible behind. 'When I was a child I thought as a child..............'

We have lived religon free all these wonderful and productive years.

When I discovered this site I marveled at the stories and many of the conversations. This made me even stronger that rejecting bible stories and religion was the best thing we could have done. Not exactly what you asked for but it will have to do.
