non believers what if your wrong ?
by unstopableravens ini do not wish to debate anything here like i have said in the past i have much respect for most on this forum (believers and non believers) i am simply wondering if the atheist or non god believers every worry about what if your wrong?
it seems that many who were jw for so many years attach jehovah/yahweh with the watchtower and since the wt is wrong than god does not exist.
i ask this question only because i care about people and salvation thats why i want to help as many as possable come out of this cult, and since i truly believe in god i dont know what is in the cinscience of those who dont.

by tec inthis is a spin from palm's thread on a truce.

"newbie" post - after eight years registered
by pajaha inactually, this is my second post as i replied to a thread a few moments ago, but it turns out i originally registered eight years ago but had never posted.. i left in 2000 (from a newport, s wales, congregation) having been brought up in it from about the age of three.
initially, i was obsessed with research and posting to forums but got over it after a few years and just rediscovered this site a couple of days ago.
i just thought it would be worth posting my account of leaving in case it helped others.. i always considered myself to be "strong in the truth" and genuinely believed it,, but i suppose the amount of suppressed doubts had been mounting up and i think it was the summer of 1999 when i first thought of leaving.

there are good believers and bad believers.. no god has ever changed that.".

How do you keep your hopes up while in this doomed existence?
by sabastious incoming from aguest's thread where she showed us the article that describes a "brain drain" that has been occuring for centuries do to "mutations" i can't help but be a little fed up with how much negativity comes from the land of science.
sure, facts are facts and they do not set out to sound good or bad, but instead of identifying the problems of doom, like our brains are devolving, why not focus on the solutions to those problems?
where are the hopes and dreams that our culture so desperately holds onto which actually provides the drive to progress towards them.

Do we have the right to criticize Jehovah's anointed ones?
by Christ Alone injehovah's witness.
no one must ever compromise any of the essential, life-saving truths from god, but to truly be part of the "one body" required of christians, everyone must compromise some personal beliefs, preferences, interpretations, etc.. the jewish christians in rome were commanded to give up the mosaic law.
this was a task that was most difficult for them.

New JW Apologist here
by Christ Alone ini was a jw for a lot of years, like many of you.
i wanted to try an experiment and try out my jw apologist chops.
since we have such a hard time finding a jw apologist that can argue well, i thought i'd give it a whirl.

"there have been too many revelations of adults who have averted their eyes from this evil," she said.. the evil of which she speaks is said by the mother of one victim to be endemic.. pat feenan's son, daniel, is now 36 years old.. this is a royal commission which will be looking across religious organizations as well as state-based care and the not-for-profit sector.
it is not targeted at any one section or religion.. pm julia gillard.
