i am new
by knight ini have read the various posts here an i have my own story to tell i amstill a witness not as active as i used to be but stillfaithful i think the main problem that jws have is that they put c.o's m.s's elders and the like on pedestals and when you do that you set yourself up for a letdown and when that person does something you dont think is right you are letdown but one should not let this block his/her relationship with jehovah.

My Exit
by Big Jim inmy name is jim,i have been in a slow but now i feel complete process of removing myself from the chains of mind control.. before i left i was a ministerial servant as well as a regular aux pioneer, i also had book study in my home along with sat.
morning field service.
unfournatley i was raised in the non-truth since i was 8 years old, i refused to get babtized as a youth because even then i felt like things were not like they really should be from a relegion that claims to have love among themselves as well as love for neighbor.. at the age of 16 i started to rebell against the non-truth with the result being that i did not want to be a witness i could not live in my loving witness parent household.

God as editor/Jesus directing FDS
by stephenw20 inlast night, the opening of the mailbox revealed the may 15,2001 watchtower.
my initial instinct was to drop it in the garbage on the way to the house, but i would have had to walk around the house to do it and my hands were full.
i don't normally read them, but of late with all the "choice morsels" from the past coming out , i just wanted to flip through and see where they are heading now..........and see if any gems of gold existed inside.

the NEW Preaching work
by stephenw20 infor those whose were interested in the preaching work being more informative to the people at the door,.
consider this........ you did not sign anything when you "became a jw" and if you have left , drifted or even been d/fd you most likely did not officailly declare your statment to not be a jw.. so then by the power vested in freedom of religion......you still are...which means of course you are protected under the same.
ridiculous laws the faithful attenders are......... .

Why our beliefs are true...
by Dogpatch infrom gary busselman:.
a quote from skeptical inmquirer.
"finally, beliefs survive best when their adherents feel they are part of a cohesive community; an ideologue who gives his followers a sense of belonging has already won the battle against skeptics who seek to disconfirm his teachings.

Moving on
by Introspection ini saw a recent post of someone leaving the board so they can move on.
it's been years for me and i actually have never come to a board like this until recently.
i'm just curious, how is everybody doing in that regard?

JW Practices
by patio34 inmaybe this irked you in the past?
i had a hard time convincing--nay, believing--that we lived in such baaaad times.
jws have the belief that times are bad, so we had the task of convincing the householders of that.

Current spiritual practice ..
by Introspection ini'm just curious, what is everyone doing in this area?
i understand there may be a period for 'clearing' if you've only left recently, but i hear that many are pagans, some are christian so i just wanted to get an idea.
