Wondering whether or not to join the Air Force
by Patrick_Ryan ini'm new here and i have some questions about joining the air force or not.
i'm 21 years old, i was raised as a jehovah's witness but stopped going when i was 13 because i was a kid and thought it was boring (like school).
even after i quit going i still done things that were right or i tried to still live by what i was taught and i'm greatful that i was raised that way because it kept me out of a lot of trouble and made me who i am today.

It Really Was A Numbers Game!
by Englishman indid you know that a decline in meeting attendances was once taken as a sign that wrongdoing had taken place in the congregation?
see what you make of this:.
in the early 60s, when i was but a callow youth and still living at home with my parents, a very anxious jw mum came a-banging on our door.

Climbing the Corporate Ladder - Why They Do It
by Black Man inthat the wts is nothing more than a business is painfully obvious in the way many brothers seek 'positions'.
i was always highly doubtful of the 'appointed by holy spirit' bs that we were always fed.
appointments often came down to who kissed up the most to the decision-makers.

A Quickie!
by cornish injust to say hello to all who vsit this forum.. i would love to tell my life story sometime but there is so much to say that i dont know where to begin, but a few things about myself.. i left the borg mindset in 1995 as i would not surrender to the emotional blackmail shunning teqniques, and was told i had basically dissasociated myself, even though my last words were 'i wanted to follow god and christ not a religion' an announcement was made that i had dissassociated myself from the christian congregation, cheek,eh!.
i was born into a jw family in 1962,and most of my immediate family see me as a filthy apostate because they are indoctrinated, my hobbies are horses, ham radio and the net,.
when i have a chance i hope to post more, cheers for now

Sin, Mercy and the Watchtower Way
by Thirdson inits strange now how i find such a huge contrast between the words of the gospel accounts of jesus and the interpretation of those words by the wts.
to me it seems there is little of the gospel jesus in the wts attitude to sinning and to sinners.. i recently reread lukes account of when jesus went to the home of the pharisee, simon.
during the meal a woman of the city, a sinner, bathed jesus feet with her tears and dried them with her hair.

I getting bored with this Board
by OlderTom ini'm just wondering if it is because i have changed and have gained my freedom from the watchtower enslavement or i just don't care anymore or is it that i have been exposed to too much of the same old complaints about the borg and all the false prophecies and the lies?.
i must admit i still get pleasure from reports of the watchtower walls starting to crumble al over the civilized world so i guess i'll continue to pop in from time to time.. as far as trying to de-program and rescue the poor unfortunate brainnumbed watchtower slaves, i think it's a total waste of time after all how do get through to people who prefer to believe in the lies when they know they are lies but they just don't want to see the real truth about the "truth(tm)".
i gues they don't want to see the real truth because it would force them to start thinking for them selves again and for some people that is just too much of a burden to bear.

THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!
by AngelofMuZiC inthe following are excerpts from the offical office of public affaris of jehovah's witnesses website:.
do you believe that you are the only ones who will be saved?.
many millions who have lived in centuries past and who were not jehovah's witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life.

Dissfellowshiped Watchtower
by cornish inas it was considered back in 1995 that due to not holding to the society's view of the literal generation of 1914,i had disasociated myself, now all jehovah,s witnesses dont believe this anymore, are they all appostate for rejecting this important truth, that i had apparently sinned so much in rejecting?????????
