i can remember numerous talks and study articles about how the preaching work would get more and more intense as we near the end.. one so called prophetic illustration that stands out in my mind was when joshua and his men marched around the city each day and then just before the city fell they marched seven times signifying a quickening of the preaching work.. it seems starkingly obvious that the preaching,is in decline amonst jw's,the jw's are seen less and less often in my neighbourhood,it is very rare to see them out street witnesing around the town centres and railway stations, the average jw spends far less time preaching than a decade ago.. it seems like their chief brag is definately on the wain,in favour of other recruitment methods.

an ex jw friend seems to have got well into this group, they have adventist and millerite roots like the jws,he looked into the assemblies of yahweh, but thought they were too centralized around one man and intolerant of dissagrement like the jws but he seems to think this goup are much better in all regards and non organizational.. does anyone know more about this group,i wonder if they have sanitized their web site a bit?

i have this brother who i have had no communication with since 1996 when i left the borg and became the subject of collective shunning.
well, for several months now he has had his profile up on the friends reunited site.
ok, so england lost 2-1 against brazil, but at the end of the day it could have gone either way but luck was on brazils side, and throughout the tornament england have proved true gladiators.. congratulations brazil and well done to the england team.. i think that playing footie in that searing heat does favour an equatorial country a bit,i think that if the game was played in cooler evening conditions it would definately have favoured england and made it tougher for brazil,i mean personaly in 80 to 90 degrees of humid heat i dont feel much like moving let alone playing a fast game of footie yet in countries like brazil it is a normal day, since the world cup is so often played in these conditions to accomadate league fixtures it is often more of a test of heat stanima than football ability, anyway it does get a bit borring when the same old teams keep winning ,a bit of a foregone conclusion, zzzzzzzzz,at least france was a change last time,.
who can rise to the challenge and take out boredom from the finals.. congratulations brazil and well done to the england team .

im just starting to get this suspicious feeling.. .
why is it that there is no mention of last tuesday's sceening on the dateline page?.
all other recent shows have some sort of mention, and are even on streaming audio, prehaps they will get round to doing it for this one,but i,m sure they had the highlights to last weeks show up and running by saturday.. why am i suspicious?.

as has been mentioned before on this board, cnbc the european finance version of cnn which does have a few non finance programs will be screening dateline as usual at midnight on saturday.. the only question i have is will the dateline show we are eagerly awaiting be screened the saturay following the tuesday show or the saturday preeceding the tuesday show?.
i would have guessed it would be the saturday following,if not, then i have just missed it.. anyway i remember when most people ran analogue satelite that on the eutelsat hot bird satelite you used to be able to watch what was then called nbc super channel which ran a standard nbc schedule,i dont know if it is still available on analogue for anyone who still has analogue set up on hot bird.i think it changed name to nbc europe,in which case you could possibly see it tuesday night, anyway for most of us over here we can definately see dateline on cnbc on astra digital saturday night,or watch it on streaming video through nbcs website.
