Satan wanted to become like God. That is why he deceived Adam and Eve in to letting them think they would become like gods.

The bible predicts the things that are to come before the coming of Christ. Are you not seeing these things happening around you?

So if you are saying that God is allowing these things to happen to prove that man cannot rule himself you are also suggesting that God is permitting his sons and daughters to suffer evil to prove a point....what kind of loving father would do that....why did he create satan in the first place and when it was apparent that satan wouldnt or could be brought back in line why wasnt he destroyed then? and why was he sent to earth?

These things cause me to doubt a benevolent omnipresent creator and an even more so 'loving father....' as is suggested by many christian groups. Sad Emo...you got there first, that was exactly the point I was about to make...

    About the love of God:

If the devil exists, he surely is not a loving God for creating him

if the devil does not exists then he is responsible for all wrong on earth

    I rest my case

What is evil? I suppose it could be described as a perversion of God's natural order. 1) God created everything. 2) Everything created by God is good. 3) God gave creatures free will. 4) Creatures have used their free will to prevert God's natural order, which is evil. God is not responsible for his creatures preversion of free will, but the responsibility lies upon those who perpetuate these preversions of God's natural order.

Would not "God" Himself be the biggest "perpetuater" of all time...

    Hmmm.

"If there ever has been such a thing as sin, then animal sacrifices are clearly a sin, and any god who would accept or enjoy that is a gross and primitive tyrant."

This depends on the context...common sense would tell you that.

Are you a vegetarian? Or do you eat meat eh?
