I log on here to check on your updates and I am horrified at what your employer did to you. Perhaps you could mention this to the reporter who first filed the story about the fire, possibly a blurb in your local paper will at least embarrass the ex-employer into a more humane stand? I cannot even imagine the pain you are going through, not to mention the exhaustion - emotional, mental and physical.

    Mario,

I'm really sick about those developments. I guess at this point nobody could blame you for "throwing in the towel". Still before you do that I would suggest you review the whole situation (including your financial charges, your employer's decision and Marina's circumstances) with a VERY GOOD lawyer as well. Just to know what you really can and can't do before deciding your course. There might be some unknown opportunity there for you.

    Thinking of you always...

    Mario,

In your situation, I would recommend you speak to a lawyer yesterday about the possibility of declaring bankruptcy. You need to be absolved of financial responsibility for this situation.

Are you able to call me later?

Might be too late for this suggestion: Disability (diagnosis: Anxiety and Depression????) ???

Keep the job and disability benefits are not taxed.

Thinking of you Mario in this time. I wouldn't make any rash decisions in your frame of mind right now. Your daughter is speaking as her grandparents expect her to. You are still her father. Talk to a lawyer, and find out your options. Nothing has to be decided today. Once things return to some sort of normalcy, you may have a clearer thinking process and can handle this issue a bit better.

    Take care of yourself.

I have to agree with this. You've got so much on your plate right now, you need to be able to clear the deck of financial issues. Make a clean start, simplify the situation as much as you can, and focus on your daughter. Do one thing at a time, solve it and then move on. In this way you can get to where you and your family needs to be.
