I know some people here might be sceptical about Reiki, but I've just had a lovely lady friend, Maxine, round who is a level III practitioner and she did me with world of good. My aches disappeared and she made me so incredibly relaxed. Maxine won't charge for her work even though she can spend well over an hour on me and has to travel to get here. This was my third session with her and easily the best. I guess there's more out there than we really give credit for. Since leaving the JWs I'm beginning to experience some marvellous stuff, which would previously have been considered Satanic. Well, if that's Satanic I'll have a bedroomful!

Maxine's a wonderful, caring person and has offered to do Claire - goodness knows she needs it after working so hard and looking after me. Yes, the world is absolutely full of some tremendous people who are beautiful throughout, contrary to what I was taught. I'm sorry I've become ill just as I was beginning to live - but it's all enough to help me in my recovery.

If my illness was "sent" to teach me a lesson, I've already learnt much of value. The greatest of all is that we tend to worry unnecessarily. Having good health is sufficent enough, because through that one is able to give so much to others. When I recover that's what I intend to do.

    Love to all,

    Ian

Dansk, my niece's husband also does Reiki. He believes in it very strongly. (he has the same type of cancer, for those who wonder why I am saying this)

Remember what I said that night about healing v's curing?

You are already giving so much to others. When you recognise that (regardless of the state of your health, wealth, friendships, accomplishments, even feelings) you will be well on the road to healing.
As for cures? Keep on fighting the fine fight - and you are a fighter - coz I expect to see you around for some time yet!!!

    Every blessing, my dear friend,
    Ross.

He was diplomatic. He said he wouldn't because they were his children, but that he'd explain what it was all about and let them come to their own decisions.

Perhaps Ian, ask the specialist what he would do if he was in your position.

Hope all went well with the homoeopath today Ian!

    Thinking of you all

**I know some people here might be sceptical about Reiki,

Not ME!!! (course ,I've never heard of it-giggle)

**Since leaving the JWs I'm beginning to experience some marvellous stuff, which would previously have been considered Satanic. Well, if that's Satanic I'll have a bedroomful!

How wonderful it feels to know that we can ALLOW ourselves to explore whatever we wish to!!!!!

** I'm sorry I've become ill just as I was beginning to live -

I can relate to THAT!!! Just when I was beginning to feel stronger about myself, my thinking, and my status (other than a DAed JW---BEYOND that view) I got hit with the strokes and heart attack and have to re-think where I am all over again! I feel like I'm rolling down a hill, and when I juuuuust reach the top---BOOM---something boots me right back down to the bottom again!

I DO have some very nice things going on though, like you do, and it really helps to take the sting out of the bad days. There ARE some really super folks "out there" in the (gasp) world, who are so kind and giving. I'm glad they have found their way to you and to me, and that we were smart enough to "let them into our lives" despite our WTS conditioning, huh?

    Take care, dear one...
    hugs
    Annie

    Hi Everyone,

What a real tonic your messages are. They really are so dear to me!

I was extremely low yesterday morning, though I tried to be upbeat. A Buddhist friend, Mike, came round, saw my condition and within half an hour I'd forgotten everything and was full of optimism. The feeling carried over throughout the day, including my visit to the homeopath (a really great guy) and then over into today. Mike then telephoned me half an hour ago and his comments further strengthened me. There's a lot more going on around us than we realise!

Marjorie, if there are angels on earth you are one of them! What you have done for me is beyond the norm. You're beautiful!

Thanks to everyone for their prayers, good wishes and vibes. They are all helping me survive.

My visit to the homeopath was a really pleasant experience (wish all doctors could have been like Martyn, who saw me). Martyn is working on a system of medication for me to take. I already took a pill in his office so I'm on my way back to health.

Claire is my rock. Without her I would have floundered a long time ago.

    Love to all,

    Ian
