Minny - I think if Trump exterminated Hitler, people would still say how awful it is that it happened the way it did.

Remember; Hitler was a Socialist...so are lefties.

In the famous words of General Colin Powell to George W. Bush when Bush was contemplating invading Iraq: "You break it, you bought it."

The meme posted at the bottom of page 4 makes a point but we're considering the death of General Qassem Soleimani.

Was Soleimani living on less than a dollar a day?

    Er, no, I don't think so ...

The middle east is consistently the most radical war torn area on earth and has been since the beginning of history. It is astounding how much governments are willing to pay for oil!

The Iranians and Iraqis are born into a radical society with no choice of how to believe just like many of us jw's were born in's. We don't have to agree with their way of life or beliefs but at least we understand why they are like they are. Willing to give up their life for some invisible shy daddy.

    just saying!

This was of course a terrible idea. However Trump knows that his base along with other idiots who believe everything at face-value will lap it up gladly. This can only help him, boosting his image.

The general is gone, but what have we done to actually stop whatever supposed plans were on-going? He already has a replacement, and it is well known that he is following orders from his boss, the Khamenei. Why is he alive?

    The usual formula is set:

1 - America takes action under the guise of security

2 - American idiots will lap it up and think they are safe.

3 - America waits for retaliation ( which Iran prob has no choice in order to save face at this point)

4 - America goes to war, claiming it was attacked.

5 - Military business smiles and pockets money.

6 - Wait a few years, and choose a new target to do it again.

Can you blame the military industry? If Coca Cola needed a war to move inventory, they would lobby for a war too.

I really don't buy the line that feeding the 'military industry' is a motive for war. I think the motives are far more idiosyncratic and ad hoc.

As of right now, there is no “war”.

Excellent point. Bombing people and countries certainly does keep more people in the military industry employed.

Once your warehouses are full of laser-guided missiles, you might as well find a target or two to free up some space.
