    Blackpearl,

Feel free to leave at any time. I'm not holding you back. If you find these threads upsetting, please stop commenting on them or go. It's up to you - we just disagree on this matter is all. We're here to get away from the dubs, not be at each others throats. Your opinion is wrong, IMO, but at least you're being honest.

As for Junction Guy, yes, we get it, yada yada yada. Bla bla bla... every freaking gay thread you're on...

Is there anyone out there who has some valid reasons that there should not be gay marriage?

    JunctionGuy:

No matter what argument is presented, I am still against gay marriage. No brainwashing, slick talk, or anything else will convince me otherwise.

I definitely do not believe that gays are born that way, even if they were it still does not change my opinion of gay marriage one IOTA.

Excellent. Then don't married to a gay person. You have a right to believe whatever you want. Flying Spaghetti Monster, Allah, Buddha, heck you were even a JW. If you want to have a gay wedding, great. If you don't believe in gay marriage, don't get married to a gay person. It really isn't that complicated.

I found the comment on the founding fathers very interesting - the separation of church and state. And I believe that's why the constitution has more to do with rights rather than someone's personal beliefs.

JunctionGuy: They were condemned for their unashamed sexual perversity and their lust. Lot was the only one who showed hospitality by shileding them from the lustful sodomites.

    Link?

Oh I beg to differ, you are gay as can be, you are just too ashamed to admit it. I’m also fairly certain that the reason you are so freaking miserable is because you are denying who you really are.

It's interesting...gays have to defend being gay...hetero's don't have to, what's up with that? I don't have to defend being straight, but gays do, wonder why?

It really is sad isn't it? Larry Craig, Congressman Foley, Ted Haggert, etc... etc... They are miserable, and refuse to stand up and live life, and too afraid to not care whatever everyone else and the brother thinks about them. It is the price they pay. Sadly these same haters seek to make it even harder on those of us who have come out of the closet, stand tall, and live our lives openly and honestly as what we are.

Sorry but you've refused to answer my questions so far, so until you do, you have no room to demand explanations from others, sir.

The Sodom argument is really funny. They make it sound like the 2 cities were condemned for not greeting the angels with a glass of iced tea. They were condemned for their unashamed sexual perversity and their lust.

If modern Christians had any knowledge of how ancient Jews viewed the Sodom Story, perhaps they would be not be so antigay. The Babylonian Talmud, Sanhedrin 109 makes it clear that ancient Jews, for 1700 years after the destruction of Sodom, linked the Sodom story to Inhospitality, not to Homosexuality.
