Anyone remember Brandozzi?
He was a DO, had a fatal heart attack.
Bad attitude, always eating Rolaids.
I remember a few that Docbob posted - Illingworth, Raftopolous- but I was pretty young when they were around and don't remember too much about them, just flashes here and there.
Also remembering Roger Insulman, or something like that? And one named Ray Hayes? Haynes? He was missing a thumb. He is the one who told my mother that "This isn't Disneyland" in response to a problem that numerous ones in the congregation spoke to him about.
I just remember hating having to put on a good face every time they came around and disliking that all of the meetings were much longer that week and how we all had to go out in service when they were around. None of them made a real impression on me until the thumbless one(no personal disrespect intended) because he was so reluctant to take care of an OBVIOUS issue.
Franklin Park : little korrean guy that looked like Gollum whos wife had recently died and he cried when he prayed
Bro. Blalock
Very nice brother
Anyone remember Brandozzi?
We had them as District overseer. His wife was very sweet. Brandozzi looked like a Mafia type. He was over 60 when we had him, and had jet black hair, obviously dyed. The word he used that the other elders mocked him on, behind his back, was "always". He overused that word.
I remember Bro. Emshoff (sp?) he was a DO and stayed with us for the week while our Cong. hosted the circuit assembly. He was pretty cool because the entire time he was at our house he never once talked about the bible, the Borg or any JW themed topics. Wierd huh? He was quite the comedian and spent several hours just hanging out with me and my two sisters. I remember him telling us some real cornball jokes and doing some contortionist tricks. He acted more like a goofy crazy uncle then a Borg Rep.
I remember a CO that I had liked for the three years that our circuit had him--I am trying to remember his name, but can't come up with it now. His last visit was during a circuit assembly. After the final prayer, he was standing near the stage with his wife. While everyone was talking, he and his wife bowed their heads--I assume he was saying a prayer.
It was weird and in my opinion was a showy display. What do you think?
Oh, just thought of his name--Hunter!
Anyone remember Langoria?
Mulan, we also had Spangenburg -
Bill and Donna Spangenburg? Donna was sick all the time, and rarely came to meetings and out in service. She was always at lunch though. He finally had to retire because of her health, whereupon she got a full time job, and never missed work. Hmmmm.
I remember that he was a big enthusiast for classical music - when they stayed with us he made me play all the Bach I knew on our electronic organ. Don't remember the wife being so sick, but this was way back in the late 60s.
