Jeff,
The only one I remember had the last name Piscle.(spelling?) Pronounced Pie-cell. He was a very large obnoxious man with a bald head and red face. He must have been about 6'3 or4'.....and very over weight. I wound up having my hind end beat off because my mother was out in service with him and me and my brothers were in the back seat objecting because her voice and total demeanor changed in front of him.
My brothers were very small but I had to be about 11 and when we arrived home my mother was so embarrassed by my behaivor she had my father beat me with my pants off. It was so horrible I couldn't stop crying, and had my hind end beat again for not shutting. up. I couldn't shut up because at age 11, I knew something was very, very wrong.
To This day the word Circuit Overseer or Districuit Overseer makes me.....well lets put it this way, if they dare ever show up at my door, I have one mean personal protection trained Doberman that will be happy to take a bite out of their ass as was done to me.

Yes - Piscell.
We had him here just before I got seriously involved as a teenager. I remember the 'brothers' speaking about this little robust Italian man, red face as you describe. Were you in florida then? Or up here in my neck o' the woods?
Jeff
ray midgeley was my favourite....
....NOT
AK, wasn't Grizzel the one you could almost bet on that you would not take a single door out in service?
I think he was in Michigan and he hated service more than us!

The one that I'll never forget was George Cook. Jerk
The only one I remember is Brother Rosem.......He was a Jew and he partook of the emblems every year. That was always the topic of conversation after his visit, and everyone would remark "He's a natural Jew and a spiritual Jew!"

When we had him, he was pretty gung ho in the service. He would be about 70 now I am guessing. He was about 5'8" tall, very wavy dark-blonde hair. This guy was so organized that one time we were at a door, I was about to knock, he stopped me, pulled a little 'call-book' out of his pocket with typewritten RV's in it - looked under our congo pages, found the addy and said 'I'll take this one, Jeff. I placed literature here on my last visit." I kinda liked the guy, really. But then what did I know - I was just kid. I think he was in our circuit Indiana 5 or 7 around 1973-74. Jeff
Jeff,
We were in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. God I hated him......I was very young, Like I said, 11 or 12, at the time.... I am 47 now.
