    Sunnygal-

I baptized souls in the Natick baptismal pool. The C.O. was J.R. Brown - we all know who he is now. Before that we had a real bastard -

Thompson, and then the meanest man I ever met in the WTS - Anthony Conti - a man made for hell's wrath - a company man with an axe to use and grind - may God spit on his soul.

The only one I remember had the last name Piscle.(spelling?) Pronounced Pie-cell. He was a very large obnoxious man with a bald head and red face. He must have been about 6'3 or4'.....and very over weight. I wound up having my hind end beat off because my mother was out in service with him and me and my brothers were in the back seat objecting because her voice and total demeanor changed in front of him. restangled

I think he moved to Florida.

Sobieski - Seemed like a nice guy

Jesse Cantwell - Friendly, Tennessee born and bred. Told the congregation that a baptist preacher told him the JW's have the TROOF but he can't let his flock know because that's how he pays his bills. You can read about him in the Proclaimers Book of Propaganda.

James Wells - Never could figure him out.

Gus Manikas - Nice Guy. Deceived but still a nice guy.

James Wells is my favorite, very kind man and interesting speaker!

I remember him to this day. Wonder if he is still a JW and here is why:

He said: all this week in field service, we will be discussing JESUS.............Every morning before we met at doors, he quotes scriptures about Jesus, how he handled problems.

I liked it personally. Because people always said we only believed in Jehovah and wouldn't listen to us at the door, here I thought is one CO that is doing what we should be doing, since Jesus told us to preach, we should be talking about him.

I have heard from another former xjw, that he was quite a stir in their congregation, that after he left the elders were very upset caused he talked about Jesus too much.

So Brother Wells, if you are reading....I hope you are doing well. Tell your wife I said "hi" too.

I liked Dennis Dutton and Brian Scott.

I remember who the CO with the alcoholic wife was - Alan and Diane Fisher.

And I remember Richard Jessop, he was a bit too pompous and 'old school' for my taste.

proplog2, if you are watching, how did you know Don Stull?

If its the same guy, I knew a Don Stull who lived in Oklahoma City (early 70s) and I think he had retired from the circuit work -

he had a stroke, as I recall, and had to start over. He and I took a college real estate course together - I just needed it for graduation credit, but I think Don actually went on to become a realtor to support himself after the circuit work ended. A lot of JW people seemed to be scared to death of him, but once I got to know him in the course of that class he turned out to really be a nice guy.

The Don Stull I knew passed away sometime later in the 70s of a heart attack out in his driveway while washing his car.

Penguin! Looks like we were in the same circuit in Ontario!!! LOL....I remember some names on your list:

Jack Danley: what a pompous ass and complete blowhard! Even the elders hated him! LOL....

Olavi Sundvall : Slick as oil and in love with himself. Nice dresser though...lol...

Brother Lum (can't recall his first name) : He was a real "organization" man, I thought he was a cyborg.

The only one I ever liked was Jack Purves, actually a really nice, gentle man. He actually used to do magic tricks for my little sister and me! LOL....

Also, there was Norm Donaldson. He was dumb as a tack, but a nice guy and totally harmless. His talks were tortuously dull.

My favorite was Pedro Hines and his wife Liveen?, they both were young and she was beautiful.

Both were from Philadephia and had attended college.

They actual encouraged me to go to college very quitely and he even appointed me as a college student to MS.

I wonder what happen to them.

I also had JR Brown as CO for a while and he actually studied with me when he became a local elder in Brooklyn for a few years.

    tijkmo,

You mentioned Ray Midgeley, he's actually the only one I can remember. He used to send the sisters into a panic as he was coeliac, so had a long list of foods he couldn't eat during his feeding visits. As well as being one of the most pompous and supercilious men I have met.
