A few have been mentioned like Dennis Dutton and Michael Purbrick. I agree Dennis Dutton was a loud mouth and tactless too. On quite a few occasions I heard he had caused JW's to be very upset when they invited him for a meal usually cos of something he said when he'd been on the vino.

We also had Bob Oldrey - good speaker but quite full of himself. Peter Walker - Nice guy. I used to date his niece. Squire Egan and Alice - Squire died a few years back but Alice is still on the go in her 80's. They were left penniless after the circuit work and lived in a caravan in the middle of nowhere for years (and Alice still might live there still). Bro Gibbons - Dull as ditchwater.
We also had an Indian guy as CO at one time, can't recall his name though. I think he had been adopted by British parents when he was young.

Don Auvinen (sp) bad heart, snoozer. Hope he's still kicking.

John Magnussun, nicest man to walk the earth, I respect this man's sincerity and his practical knowledge. He was a true "servent". Serves at Bethel now in some service dept. capacity.

Sam Roberson, big cheerleader, berater and generally impersonal and a real fire and brimstone witness. (ugh) wortheless and obnoxious.

The rest are a blur of mediocrity.

Clifford Joseph- we still have nightmares about this guy' he used inside information from his position to buy real estate and property way below fair market valve( WAY BELOW). The pompous guy had a gold-plated Caddy, and would preach endlessly about being humble

Tony Rizzo- was a sweet humble man, we were saddened by his passing

Augie Wenzell- a great guy. he was burned many times by jws he hired

Phillip Stiles- very warm and personable, but ran the kh by the book

Make that 4. Him and Brother Duke taught my Pioneer school class. I'd say that 1994ish. It was a difference of night and day. I liked Brother Wells a bit more. Did he remind any of ya'all of John Lithgow?

I never had Lynn Godfrey as CO, but he and Douglas Mercier were my pioneer school instructors. They were both nice, but Godfrey struck me as a bit uncomfortable being in a position of authority.

and since I see someone else who liked CR "Dick" Jones, I'll explain why I had a problem with him. Once, myself, Sister Jones and a local pioneer sister were in service in a rural area and had car problems. I am not at all mechanically inclined and I did not know how to fix the problem, so we had to call the pio sister's husband. He and Dick came to pick us up. Dick gave me a VERY hard time about not knowing how work on the car and referred to me as "sister". It really pissed me off and embarrassed me. So I never really cared for him after that. Also he liked to play basketball with some of the other young guys in the congregation. I was not very good at sports either so he gave me a really hard time about that. He also made it a point to let me know that he had seen "homos" in the organization before and they always got find out. I was sixteen at the time and a regular and trying my hardest to live in accordance with what I thought was the truth. To have someone pick up on the fact that I was perhaps struggling with that issue and then, instead of helpiing me or encouraging me, use it as a reason to ridicule me was just really crappy and mean spirited.

Brother Lum (can't recall his first name) : He was a real "organization" man, I thought he was a cyborg.
His first name is Norman. His wife is Zinnete or Zonya (sp) if it is the same one I know.
