Are YOU a Better Person Now That You're Out of the Organization?

do you think that you're a better person now than you were as a witness?

US Presidential - race of minnows in pursuit of power
by core infirst - yes - i am in uk and have no vote and possibly no right to overly criticise.
be that as it may i must comment that the candidates available for the us voters do not stand out as world leaders, neither are kennedys, eisenhowers, or even nixons.
is this choice the best that the us has to offer itself ?

Isolation or integration?
by hamilcarr inthe world wants changean international poll confirms what the us's pilgrim founders first recognised - that the eyes of the world are on americaso, after eight years of blair and brown toadying up to bush, 65% of brits want barack obama to win the presidential election, according to the guardian's international poll published today, and only 15% are rooting for the mccain/palin ticket and one suspects that some of those would be voting for the racist bnp given half a chance, not least when the numbers indicate that obama is only supported by the 54% of the lowest socio-economic class, whose neglect by new labour has left many of them clutching at racist straws.. in every country, opinions of the us have declined to record levels over george bush's two terms as president.
one can understand why 75% of the french would think so, but what do you make of the swiss, 86% of whom think so, even though not even the republicans boycotted helvetian cheese or cuckoo clocks?.
the world is showing what it thinks of sarah palin and the bushite know-nothings who have usurped mccain's campaign.

I have tried to be an atheist
by stillajwexelder ini have tried to be an atheist- honestly, i have really tried.
i have most of dawkins books and many others.
i completely agree there has to be some evolution and obviously the fossil record in the grand canyon plus erosion shows it must be at least 600 million years old.

I was wrong
by Junction-Guy inthis is hard for me to say, i don't even know where to begin.. .
first off i was wrong for judging a whole group of people based on the actions of a few others.. .
there have been many courteous replies from some of the gay posters on here, and i know it must have been hard considering all the things that i said.

Why does guilt often remain so long with those who've left the JWs?
by And He Ran ini would be interested in getting people's input in why so many jws - including me from time to time, though less so now - seem to be burdened by guilt after they've left, even after they've successfully faded and aren't being hassled by family or elders.
is it a residual leftover of the indoctrination over the years?
i welcome your comments.

My Dachshund Dog is acting strange
by Undecided inmy wife bought a little rubber toy that makes a sound when you squeeze it.
it sort of looks like a small puppy.
normally my little dog will play with these toys, bite them and make them squeel, throw them around the floor, but this one is different to her.
