the washington post published this richard dawkins response to perry's evolution is "just a theory" comment.

q. texas governor and gop candidate rick perry, at a campaign event this week, told a boy that evolution is just a theory with gaps and that in texas they teach both creationism and evolution.

found this new statesman article linked in a sam harris tweet.

it is a collection of comments on reasons for non-belief from such ones as richard dawkins, daniel dennett, sam harris, jerry coyne and stephen hawking...to name a few.. what caught my eye about the tweet was this comment by harris, his actual tweet:.

believe it or not, we are doing just fine despite being "worldly".

heck, my wife has never even been a jw and i've been a heathen for many years now.

The First World Problems Rap

a few weeks back, a business contact in vancouver that i follow on twitter, tweeted a complaint that there wasn't anywhere to charge their blackberry in their luxury box while at a concert.

i thought...."yeah, what a horrible first world problem.".

i was thinking i could take the diamonds i found on my front lawn, sell them to a jeweler to pay for a sex change so i can date the actresses' brother to get to her thru him, then dump the brother, find more diamonds to reverse the sex change, date her and then tell her she shows too much cleavage and i want her to change?
