"don't worry everyone will get theirs at armagedon"
by milligal inthis was written in a letter to me from one of my active jw brothers (biological brother).
he was referencing the ex-husbands of myself and my other df'd sister, both of whom have been guilty of 'slipping under the radar' (an elder's words) by doing such silly things as getting arrested for spousal abuse and stealing a vehicle....they're both still in good standing.
i digress, let me say that i was shocked to hear from my brother.

Preschooling at home any good sources or guidelines?
by milligal inthis year my husband and i decided to keep our 4 year old home to preschool him at home.
partly because of expense and frankly because the area we live in is not known for a strong school system or high standards : ( so i am going to tackle this, but if i am going to do it i want to do it right.
i do have some background in child psychology and early childhood development, but i am wondering if anyone has done this before me and has any advice or resources.

Hold them accountable but with human decency
by milligal inrecently i wrote, and re-wrote (and re-wrote and...you get the picture) a letter to my entire family 8 living siblings, 5 of them jw and my witness parents one of whom believes himself to be anointed.
before sending it i asked my older sister who is also df'd like me, to critique it.
she decided that she would like to add her name to the letter also, a little more bang for the buck coming from two of us.

One American on International Politics
by milligal init seems the entire world feels that americans are not only ignorant of international events but also void of any sense regarding their own politics.
after reading one spicey thread on the topic of our apparent unwitting density i had a couple things to say.
(parental discretion advised for political incorrectness):.

What are you doing to save money on groceries and gas?
by milligal ini'm looking for tips.
i usually shop at a commissary on a military post, the other day i went to a civillian store and found eggs for $3/dozen, milk $5/gallon and bread $3/loaf!
well even on post it's still expensive.

Homosexualtiy and morality
by milligal indid you ever wonder why 'men of god' were allowed to have concubines and use prostitutes in the old testament, and being told by your jw elder or study conductor something like: 'god's will was to fill the earth, so he allowed men to have more than one wife or concubine to fulfill his purpose...' ?.
then by this same reasoning why would god have a problem with homosexuality at this point in time-the earth has been filled, in fact it's almost too full in some areas.
so doesn't homosexuality now make sense....consistently speaking?

Being shunned by JW's who you know have done worse than you
by milligal inokay-here's one i was thinking about the other day-after reading some of your posts.
have you ever been shunned by a jw who you know was doing (or had done) some really devious things?
for instance when i was df'd the first person to give me the five minute long evil eye at the grocery store was a sister who had five children by two different fathers and a sixth child who was molotto (she was white) and she insisted that she had no idea why he came out so dark skinned.....she was never df'd.

My son and I had a talk after back from JW dad's
by milligal inwell some of you know that i gave my son over (custody) to his jw dad after a vicious 7 year long custody battle.
it broke my heart but i ran out of ways to keep fighting and it was tearing our family apart.
anyway for the last 1& 1/2 years he's lived with his dad and spent all holidays and summer break w/me.

playing along with the disfellowshipped game
by milligal inmy son has come to stay with me for the summer, and this morning i got a phone call which showed on the caller id as my son's grandparents (my jw ex's parents who are also jw).
i assumed it was my ex calling from their house and answered handing the phone to my son.
that's when i heard his grandma's voice on the phone.

growing up witness
by milligal ini grew up a witness and i never felt bad about my lack of material belongings a.k.a.
not having nice clothes in school, it didn't bother me that the other first graders were stuffing their faces with birthday cupcakes and i was in the school library researching fossils; but what did bother me?
my cool cousins.
