Russell started the " Cult Mind Control" in JW's Years Ago- Check this Out
by flipper ini guess after leaving the witnesses 5 years ago - i had always thought the " control" issues had started years down the road in rutherford's time and that initially the motives were good when russell started this organization.
boy was i wrong.
i've been reading the book " kingdom of the cults " by walter martin- revised edition and thought i'd share some eye opening quotes from c.t.

How Many Sit on the Fence?
by sammielee24 ini was checking out another topic and pulled off something that wobble said.. given that - how many of you would go back if the wts decided to enact shunning for everybody who was not active?
if tomorrow they decided that da'ing or fading or in simple terms, being inactive for any reason whatsoever, was a shunning offense - how many would start going back immediately just so their family wouldn't be cut off?
how many would not go back and would instead would be willing to stand firm on their belief that the wts is wrong in what they teach?

Jehovah's Witnesses,Blood and South Africa
by jakes inthe refusal by jehovahs witnesses to accept life-saving blood transfusions is one issue that constantly throws the organisation into the spotlight.
blood transfusions have been banned by the jehovahs witnesses, whether it be whole or fractional, since 1945. the technicalities surrounding this issue even confuse many die-hard witnesses as this doctrine is in a constant state of flux.
many are not sure what is acceptable practice and what not.. .

Deceptive or just wrong?
by johnnyc ini have been virtually non-stop studying everything i can get my hands on with regards the wtbts, and "apostate" literature and information.
in all honesty, 80% at least is non-sense and over critical.
however, i do find about 20% (if i have to create a percentage reference) is appropriate in its line of reasoning and questioning.

Just got my copy of "In Search of Christian Freedom"
by JimmyPage inafter reading "combatting cult mind control" and "crisis of conscience" i wondered what i would read next.
i really enjoyed "coc" and i saw a lot of posts on jwd that mentioned how "in search of" helps jws overcome their aversion to birthdays and holidays.
i feel like that's what i need now to help fully deprogram myself.

JWs and National Oaths of Allegiance Expose' by Marvin Shilmer-Please Read
by AndersonsInfo inthe following three paragraphs are part of a startling new essay written by a well-respected poster on jwd.
he spent much time and money to gather proof of duplicity on the part of watch tower leaders.
marvin shilmer (not his real name) has given permission for me to put his entire essay on my website, www.watchtowerdocuments.com.
