ex-JWs for Haiti
by Moxie ina number of us ex-jws have gotten together to rally support for haiti within the ex-jw community.. as witnesses, few of us ever donated humanitarian aid.
this wasn't because we were uncaring but because of what we were taught.
now, in the wake of the horrific disaster in haiti, we can stand up and give to the people who need help so desperately.

Deconstructing Apostasy - New Video
by Moxie inmy apologies for not posting this here sooner, but i've been swamped with a very big project... one that i will share with you in the not too distant future.. this is my most recent youtube video and addresses a subject i've identified as extremely important to many of us ex witnesses.. it's called deconstructing apostasy, and basically it examines apostasy according to watchtower... my hope is that the message will start to break down the barriers of what an apostate is and how the watchtower uses that term to effectively subjugate its members by silencing any conscientious questioners.. hopefully you'll be able to see it below, otherwise here's the link (it's best viewed on youtube in high definition) - deconstructing apostasy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3j5hkv2cnw.

Tell Your Story...
by Moxie init all started when i found this website jwd.... over the last few months i have for the first time been able to share my experiences as a former jw with others who truly understand.
the warmth, compassion and kindness i have experienced has been the first step in a nine year process of healing since my exit from the religion.
some of you may know that at about the same time i began reading and posting here, that i also began writing my own blog about my experiences.

Ex-JWs... feelings of isolation, agoraphobia...?
by Moxie inhi all... :) sorry for the novel.... i'm just wondering if there are any others out there who share similar experiences as me or have any comments and insight.... when i was a jw i was very, very social and active with friends and family in a wide range of activities.
i would even have considered myself the party-starter ;).
i used to plan events and social get togethers for all kinds of situations.

Why not use mass-media...?
by Moxie inas a witness i had always wondered why the society did not use modern mass-media such as television broadcast, etc.
to communicate its "life saving message" to the masses.
afterall isn't preaching the most important work for a jw?

Intro: disfellowshipped as a teen in 1999
by Moxie ingreetings and warm wishes to everyone out there...
this is my first post here on the site, though i have spent many countless hours as a guest reading and reading your posts and conversations.
they have been a great encouragement to me, who as a young woman was disfellowshipped from the society about nine years ago.
