Religious Extremists Will be the End of Us!
by Greenpalmtreestillmine inthe islamic religious extremists are destroying their people.
just as the christian right in the u.s. is more interested in it's own needs and wants than that of the country itself.
so too the islamic extremists want what they want regardless of the consequences to their country or their people.. ironically, osama the ultimate islamic extremist decided to attack the u.s. at just the moment when a christian right extremist was in power.. if christ's man gets elected maybe christ will decide to strike another country in the middle east and if osama survives maybe allah will decide to attack the u.s. again.

Torture for WMD Confirmed!
by Greenpalmtreestillmine inthe new yorker said the interrogation plan was a highly classified "special access program," or sap, that gave advance approval to kill, capture or interrogate so-called high-value targets in the battle against terror.
such secret methods were used extensively in afghanistan but more sparingly in iraq -- only in the search for former president saddam hussein and weapons of mass destruction.
as the iraqi insurgency grew and more u.s. soldiers died, rumsfeld and defense undersecretary for intelligence stephen cambone expanded the scope to bring the interrogation tactics to abu ghraib, the article said.

Torture to find WMD?
by Greenpalmtreestillmine indo you think those iraqi's were tortured to find wmd?.
the rank and file soldier was following the orders of the hired interrogation contractors (who are outside of military law) to soften up the prisoners.
what were they looking for this past year?

Is the Administration Planning Another War?
by Greenpalmtreestillmine ini've been reading and reading, thinking and thinking.
it is hard to understand why president bush chose to come out in support of sharon right at this moment, when things in iraq are at their most difficult and sensitive.
people are saying he has only inflamed the situation even more than before and has further endangered the troops.

Gospel of John - Why no Emblems, no Bread and Wine?
by Greenpalmtreestillmine insince today is the memorial i thought it would be a good time to ask this quesion: why is it that the gospel of john does not include the passing of the bread and wine representing jesus' blood and flesh?
of all the gospels, john's goes into the greatest detail of jesus' last evening with his disciples yet he omits the passing of the covenant emblems.
and of all the gospels you would think john's would include that since his is filled with more symbolic and mystery material than the rest.

Political Party Loyalty
by Greenpalmtreestillmine ini am very new to the political process and this year will be the first time i enter a voting booth, but something has been on my mind of late and i hope you all can help me sort it out.. if george bush had been a democrat and from day one of his presidency had done everything exactly as he has done would most of the republicans be supporting the war in iraq?
would most of the democrats still be against the war?.
or would each party fall in line with most republicans against the war and most democrats for the war?.
