Do you like SPAM? (The food, not the junk mail)
by free2beme ini know, it is america's most hated food.
people hear the name, and instantly they say, "that stuff is so sick!
" yet in the state of hawaii, it is the most popular food, bare none!

Would you want to know?
by lola28 inlets say there is chance you have an illness and you can take a few blood tests that will tell you if you do in fact have this illness, would you want to know ?
keep in mind that there is no treatment and nothing you can do to "make it better", what would you do?
would you like to know or would you rather not find out ?.

Myspace is to thank for this great little peice...
WARNING - DO NOT READ ANY FUTHER IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH.........
A Christian wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to the Kingdom Hall every Sunday.
"I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 Public Talks. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the brothers are wasting theirs by giving Bible-based talks at all."
This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:
"I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this...They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to the Kingdom Hall for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!"
When you are DOWN to nothing...Jehovah is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank Jehovah for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment! -

The Governing Body said it ... are you ready !!!!!!!!!!!!
by run dont walk ini was at a funeral this weekend, the first time i'd been in a kingdom hall in 13 years, the talk was short about a half hour, and all jw stuff as expected, but the one part of the talk made me laugh, the speaker said :.
"we (a group of elders), had the oppourtunity to speak with a member of the governing body at the assembly, and he said : "we the governing body are confident that armageddon is close, and are ready for jehovah's day, are you ready ???"".
i couldn't believe my ears, they will never learn.

I agree Darth Frosty, hopefully closer than we all think.

How do you feel about Tatoos?
by Fisherman ini feel very offended and distrurbed when i see people covered with tatoos.
some people have tatoos all over their bodies, even on their faces.
there are also tatoo programs on the tlc channel that children can watch without a forewarning before the show comes on.

The Memorial...
by Justice-One indoes anyone still go to the memorial?
i was just thinking that although i made it quite clear to my wife that i was not going to go to anymore meetings or conventions (i made a comment about not wanting to be there when the kool-aid came out) that i caught myself thinking the other day that i might go to the memorial just to keep her happy.
but then i thought why?

i dont go anymore because its telling them all that you think they still have the truth, thats the last thing that i want to do.

19th Birthday Party
by Madame Quixote inmy daughter will be turning 19 on the 24th.
this weekend we're having a dinner party for her at indochine restaurant and then taking her guests to the movies.
i am so pleased that i am able to do this without one iota of fear or guilt like the jws wish they could still impose on us.

Awesome! my younger brothers birthday was about a week ago, we had a party for him and got his mates around, it was funny because no one in our family knew how to have a birthday party! but we managed, and it turned out great!

by OnTheWayOut inmany of us have family in the borg, we are anxious to get them out, .
we might be very angry with the borg.. but who among the jw do you really just pity?
