Get over it!
by Pureheart ineveryone that has a problem with the wts and its members.. (romans 5:3-5) and not only that, but let us exult while in tribulations, since we know that tribulation produces endurance; 4 endurance, in turn, an approved condition; the approved condition, in turn, hope, 5 and the hope does not lead to disappointment; because the love of god has been poured out into our hearts through the holy spirit, which was given us.. (acts 5:29) in answer peter and the [other] apostles said: we must obey god as ruler rather than men.. (revelation 22:18,19) i am bearing witness to everyone that hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: if anyone makes an addition to these things, god will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll; 19 and if anyone takes anything away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, god will take his portion away from the trees of life and out of the holy city, things which are written about in this scroll.. anyone who seat himself in the seat of moses is condemned.
anyone that follows such a person is condemned.. anyone who change gods' word is condemned.. condemned by whom?
the almighty god jehovah.. get a life, and get over it, "all those that condemn"!!!!!!!!!!

Worthless without Watchtower

i just don't think that is the case.

finding friends outside the Borg - a Scary thought
by lydia inhas anyone else found that the teaching of the "outside world" being a "bad association" limits your involvement and ability to make new freinds?.
if so how have you overcome this and any suggestions to helping those suffering from these feelings?.

Has the WTS ever made a prediction that came true?
by Leander inthis morning a thought occured to me "has the society ever made a prediction or prophecy that has come true"?.
most of us are familiar with the prophecies or dates the wts has emphasized in the past.
of course all of those predictions never proved to be accurate so the question is, "if this is god's prophetic organization where is the proof"?.

Some Light Humor
by AlanF inmy wife sent me this little ditty that has been making the rounds:.
if men wrote cosmopolitan.... q: my husband wants to experience three-in-a-bed-sex with me and my sister.. a: your husband is clearly devoted to you.
he cannot get enough of you, so he goes for the next best thing: your sister.

Here's my story (I'm new here)....
by crownboy ini am a 4th generation witness (on both sides of the family) and indeed my entire family (save for the few who "fall away" in every family) are jehovah's witnesses.
my dad is an elder, my mom a regular pioneer and my two elder sisters the same.
my younger sister is 17 and still unbaptized, so therefore she is sort of a "black sheep" in our family and "spiritually weak" for not having already "taken the dip in the pool" (however, due to her overall open-minded nature, i am perhaps closest to her).

Paradise - I Think I'll Pass........
by Black Man inone thing that has always kinda ticked me off with the society depiction of paradise, is the completely bland, devoid of personality, stepford wives-ish look given to paradise pics in the publications over the years.
peeps walkin' around smilin' for no reason, no attention given to a cultivation of technology, the arts, space exploration.
there never seemed to be any point to paradise.

Jesus Myth?
by ISP inin all the years i was a christian minister, i never preached a sermon about the evidence for a historic jesus.
there was no need for such a sermon.
i stood before many congregations and associated with many ministers, evangelists and pastors, and not one of us ever spoke about the possibility that jesus was a fable, or that his story is more myth than history.
