Timekeeping
by stillajwexelder ini have noticed timekeeping has got worse at meetings lately - always running over - some elders are very bad - but i notice it is always the publishers that get counseled not the elders and they are the worse culprits.
ministerial servants seem to be ok -the obviously want to progeress to elder and feel if they keep going over time they will not make elder.
i am told the worse person of all for timekeeping was freddie franz -anybody have personal experience of this?

Not Many Brits Know That America Declared War On Us..
by Englishman inaccording to this article, the end of this particular war was the start of a strong bond, now known as a special relationship between our 2 countries.
http://www.napoleonguide.com/campaign_1812.htm.
and, ever since that date, the special relationship between britain and the usa has been totally fair and balanced with both countries giving and receiving in exactly equal amounts.. .

Why is it that a JW can't say Happy New Year?
by kls innew-years eve my husband and i went to my sister's house to bring in the new-year.
my sister knowing much about jws cornered my husband and said " happy new-year don" and he replied" yep it's a 2005".
i have been away from the bs of jwism for a long time and for the life of me i can not remember why it is wrong to celebrate a new year.

Were you ever told, "We don't know what Jehovah has in store for us"
by truthseeker indoesn't that conjure up a thought-provoking question?
i have heard this phrase a few times and i consider it rather childish and deliberately mysterious, as if jehovah has a bunch of wrapped gifts for each of us, and we curiously wonder what's inside of them.
i overheard a do say this once, when someone asked him if there would be any new information.
