Answer from the "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses"
by Lilycurly insome of you might remember my situation....i have daed myself a while ago, and my father is the only jw in the family.
since i am very close to him and the family, he has read everything related to shunning, he even asked elders and even them are not sure.
so he wrote a big long letter to bethel to have an answer.

When a fader pretends not to know you in front of JW's

i went back for a visit to my home town a couple of months ago and i visited a lot of old friends.
one was a fader who was a jw but has been out for like 10 years.

's this should be the headlines every week if it's the "truth".. i've heard stories of ex-j.w.
's believing they would be struck by lightning if they went into a catholic church.

elderly visit.....
by Country_Woman inthis week i got a visit from the elder who did study with me, and actually babtised me.
he came together with his wife, asked me why i never visited the hall last years ?
would it help changing congragation and visiting the hall where he is the po yet ?

JWs Are Sneaky Liars!
by minimus inthe truth is, as jws, we were well well trained in learning how to effectively lie.
we were taught that telling someone misinformation or outrightly saying something untrue------was not in itself a sin----if it was told to someone that had no reason to be told the truth.
for example, if an "opposer" asked us questions about "our brothers or the congregation", we could use "theocratic strategy", which is lying and tell them we know nothing that could help them out.
