Well, I'd say Ted Williams is my own personal baseball hero. Not only was he greatest hitter of all time but didn't he miss like 6 seasons to fight in WW II and Korea? I also admire Lou Gehrig, Christy Mathewson and Walter Johnson for being gentlemen. And Jim Thorpe has to have a mention...
