Need Suggestions
by irishayes ina jw spammer just jumped onto a medical message board that i belong to.
i would like to have some suggestions for posting to her.. her topic was (i'm sure you can almost guess what her topic was) "you can live forever in paradise.".
i need to be respectful of her because the board is moderated very closely and putdowns will not be tolerated, but i'd like some suggestions for questions i can ask her.. okay?

So-called "experiences" about courting/marrying non-believers
by Gopher ini don?t remember exactly where in jw-land i heard these experiences, but i believe they were passed around through word of mouth rather than through assemblies or publications.
urban legends?
you decide.. experience #1. faithful jw girl is dating a fellow who is studying (or was recently baptized) in order to win her love rather than because he believes jw doctrine.

Which Side of the Bed?
by simplesally ini can sleep on either side but i prefer the right side.
my first ex husband always insisted we change based on which side was closer to the door.
i'll be the pillow where you lay your head, lay your head.

Einstein Theory of Relativity
by VM44 inlong ago, in 1969, awake!
published the one and only article they ever published about einstein's theory of relativity.. einstein's theory is in the news now as the gravity probe b has recently been launched in order to measure the "frame dragging" predicted by general relativity theory as the probe orbits the earth.. if i remember correctly the 1969 awake article questioned whether einstein's theory was correct.
i doubt very much that there was anyone then, or even now, at bethel who was even remotely qualified to question einstein's theory, but, then again, lack of qualifications hasn't ever held the wt back from writing articles.. the wt library cds only have awakes going back to 1970, so i will have to find a bound volume if i want to read that article again.. anyone else here interested in einstein's theory of gravitation?.

Fake Iraq pictures and other stuff
by ball. inall the talk of fake (or not fake) pictures of troops in iraq, not too mention the number of fake pictures mates send me in emails, and not to mention the revolution in fake body parts, particularly boobs, leads me to wonder about the future.
will we live in a world in 50 years time, where every time you look at a picture, your mind is immediately pre-occupied with whether it is real or not, every picture looked at with a critical eye... no longer does a picture contain a thousand words, but may be a thousand lies also.
we've all seen the fake moon landings, haven't we?

List Of Fun Things That JW's Are Allowed To Do:
by Englishman inumm..have a few friends round and enjoy a bible quiz.. umm..square dancing!
far better than normal dancing where (to roughly quote the wt), people of the opposite sex use this as an excuse to put their arms around another person.

Too Posh To Push
by Englishman init seems that many uk women are opting to have their babies via a caesarian operation because they don't want to experience the pain of childbirth.. the national health service will only perform caesarians if there is a genuine medical neccessity for doing so.. women such as liz hurley and victoria beckham paid to have their babies via a c section even though it wasn't medically neccessary.
http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/news/s/110/110256_doctors_set_to_tackle_too_posh_to_push_women.html.
i wonder if they will regret it later in life?.

Metrosexuals...
by FMZ injust recently, i have come out of the utility room.
it's kinda like coming out of the closet, but not quite as serious.
you see, the utility room is the straight man's closet, cause there are tools in there and stuff.. you see, lately, i have for some reason become interested in men.

Is Watchman guilty of the same "sin"?
by Schizm inas many of you likely know, the owner of the e-watchman website constantly charges the wts with having committed spiritual fornication with the united nations organization (the so-called ngo affair).
i would like to ask you all a question in order to find out your opinion as to whether or not watchman has done a near equivalent thing that he charges the wts with having done.
most of you were probably aware that watchman once advertised the e-watchman site on this site here (jw.com).
