Hib is either not reading the posts you guys are posting or is seriously just too dense to think about them logically or outside of her viewpoint. This is just more evidence as to why religious belief is a danger to society.
You are spreading lies Hibs, prove me wrong?

Ah finally I have your attention. Well you are lieing because you are holding a claim that can not be proven scientifically let alone by observation as complete and absolute fact. This is an example of your statements.
"The Tooth Fairy is the King of the Universe and he (Can prove this through scripture that he is infact a he) uses the religions of this world to do his evil bidding"
I just made a claim. I am holding it as fact. You can never prove me wrong on even if you bring out your bible. You use your bible as a back up but in reality your bible is just as bad as you. It is the originator of these baseless claims and you are just expounding on them making even more baseless claims. Would you say I am lieing in the quoted statements above? Because if you do you will be doing a diservice to human mental capabilities if you don't acknowledge that you are doing the exact same thing. -

I think you are attacking the bible too much. But it's obvious to the things around you - it's just you don't want to admit it.
Would you be interested in reading the bible a little bit daunt?
Science, science.....the bible is scientific too you know.

I have read the whole bible before and am still being feed it madam so no thanks. You just made another baseless judgemental claim hib.
"But it's obvious to the things around you - it's just you don't want to admit it."
That is EXACTLY like me saying "The evidence for Buddhism is all around you but you won't admit it."
You are a very judgemental person and it's terribly sad that you can't even express the possibility of it.
And on the note of the bible. The bible is just a book I don't really care about a book it's just a concept. The human aspect to that concept can be pretty dangerous as proven throughout history. And I would like these facts that I am refusing to admit. They are mostlikely as baseless as all of your posts here. -

Hibo,
If you want to talk bible accuracy, then let's go. What do you want? history? prophecy? I've read the bible six times from cover to cover, a number of different translations even. I'm ready. But here's the rule: What is our objective, measurable standard by which we will agree if the bible is a good/accurate account of history, and if indeed its prophecies have/are coming true. If you can't come up with a test that doesn't permit a prima facie assumption and circular reasoning then you are not dealing with reality and are a liar, bigot and fool.
Not only is the bible not literally true, and I say this from every available means of historical examination – anthropology, archaeology, and all scholarship – but it can generously be called a muddle of ridiculously violent stories, primitive moral codes, vengeful, fantastical rants, and myths adopted from other cultures, first used to empower a primitive male-dominated agrarian society, then a slave empire, a thousand years of feudal oppression, and now a capitalist imperial dominion platform. We don’t need this, indeed we now can no longer survive this. We have had enough.

You've read it but you've read so many versions it must have done something to you.

The Bible makes at least sixty predictions regarding the Lord Jesus Christ alone.
Over 1,400 years before Christ was born, the Bible predicted that Israel would be regathered as a nation (Deuteronomy 30:3). In 1948, over three thousand years later, it miraculously happened. No wonder the Bible says:
Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:18

Now you're making lame excuses. "You've read it but you've read so many versions it must have done something to you." The way you preach the bible it should overcome some miniscule changes between texts. It is the holy scriptures correct? You've just brung down the benevolence of the bible.

Is the Bible scientifically accurate? YES!!!
Although the Bible is not a scientific book, its pages contain many scientific facts. Often, men took centuries to discover what the Bible had declared long ago.
In 1615, William Harvey made what many considered a brilliant discovery… that the life of all flesh is in the blood. But three thousand years earlier, the Bible declared, "…the life of the flesh is in the blood…" (Leviticus 17:11).
In 1475, Copernicus discovered that the earth was round and hung in space. Yet, two thousand years prior, the Bible proclaimed, "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth" (Isaiah 40:22). The Bible also says of God, "He… hangeth the earth (Job 26:7).
