Prostitute, is a title like apostate ,designed to dehumanise the person and remove any kind of concern about the abused person behind this title

I agree with the sentiment, raymondfrantz. However women have begun to use it again as we feel that in trying to take the judgement and power out of the word prostitute by using the term 'sex worker' , inevitably hides the terrible realities. It's built on the idea that liberal university's and some on the left claim - that the sex trade is 'empowering' for women as it allows us to have 'agency' over our bodies.

But this is a cruel myth.

The global sex industry is controlled by men for men. It's an industry built on oppression and now people have the cheek to ask women to buy into that oppression.

I don't think that's entirely true. I think it's like other labels which begin as a descriptive and acceptable term but then through negative association become unacceptable and so a new term is selected. Similar to how spastic, disabled, less able-bodied etc... have been promoted and discarded.

Eventually "sex worker" will become unacceptable, and they'll pick something else.

A prostitute is defined as someone who exchanges sex for money. To the extent that the term has a negative connotation, it is because the act itself of offering sex for money is usually seen in a negative light. I occasionally will use the colloquial term "hooker" although that term does imply more than just the business transaction and unfairly blames the woman who is offering something that men are willing to go to the street and pay for. I avoid the term "whore" since it takes that implication to another level, though I may occasionally refer to a person as a whore if I think it's an appropriate descriptor (ie, someone who offers up their dignity on the cheap- see "politician").

The term "sex worker" seems to be an attempt to legitimize the profession, if you will. If we believe that prostitution is damaging and harmful to the people who are involved in it (frequently not of their own will), then legitimizing it with a less offensive description would seem to be harmful to them as well. I would not refer to enslaved or compromised people as "workers" in any other context, after all. I believe that there are contexts in which the term sex worker is appropriate, but using it to sanitize prostitution doesn't seem like one of them.

We watch Outlander, and love the pronunciation with the heavy Scottish accent, hard to explain, but a mix of hoooer / haere / whoere

If there's a 'slutty' character on TV it's usually a race for one of us to shout out "she's a hoooooeeeerrr!!!"

There is no "noble" scenario for prostitution IMO. Either the woman is coerced and forced into it in some way which likely accounts for the majority (and "coerced" can be economically, by society or circumstances). Or she's just lazy / stupid / short-sighted / lacking self-respect and sees it as "easy money".

It's not something any normal rational person does. It's linked to the worst aspects of humanity.

I know that if need be we would start a fundraiser for the "Magnificent Seven" for their defense like in the video below. Right guys?

I think his latest meltdown is because he's seen Kim on social media, meeting up with lots of exJWs and he's no longer part of it. He wants to be that person, that people are keen to see, and meet with. But now he isn't and never will be.

That is precisely it. Notice how that rant was all about Kim and he didn’t mention anyone else by name though he could have,

When he was still anonymous on this forum as “cedars” and right before the AAWA launch he went on the annual Tahoe apostafest thread and he made this huge announcement that if everything “goes to plan”, him and his wife would make a grand entrance in Tahoe. Everyone was wondering what had changed because he was very protective of their anonymity at the time.

As it turned out he had been hoping for AAWA to fund a cross country tour for him and the wife to come and be the centre of attention.

Attendees from his UK, US, and Australia “Meet Lloyd Evans” events have all shared that he stood in a prominent area and seemed to light up when people asked to shake his hand, pose for selfies, get autographs or get him to talk about himself. His mind seemed to wander off and it got awkward when the subject changed.

He sees Kim doing what he used to do and understands it won’t be the same for him ever again. I think it also irks him that Kim is well known due to her association with him and all that went down. He had counted on her being persona non grata by now but the exact opposite is true.

I've seen many say that LE went off to Thailand regularly to see prostitutes or words to that effect. What I know from LE is he said (was it in his live stream?) I went to Thailand because I had never been to Asia before. So, can we be sure that he went multiple times to Thailand for prostitutes? Or was most if not all use of prostitutes in Croatia?

I only bring this up to keep the record straight and to not give any more so called "ammunition" to Lloyd Evans.
