Thanks Beth Sarim , I just wanted to show the false teachings of the Watchtower Corporation and why they are an organization of false theology proven by scripture and secular information.

This organization and its GB leaders have been opposed to Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ for many years.

We now have the capability to expose this organization for what it is, commercialized false prophets inherently sinful and endeavored in apostasy.

There has been some debate as to when Nebuchadnezzar's second siege of Jerusalem took place. There is no dispute that Jerusalem fell the second time in the summer month of Tammuz (Jeremiah 52:6), but William F. Albright dates the end of Zedekiah's reign and the fall of Jerusalem to 587 BC, but Edwin R. Thiele offers 586 BC.[2]

Thiele's reckoning is based on the presentation of Zedekiah's reign on an accession basis, which he asserts was occasionally used for the kings of Judah. In that case, the year that Zedekiah came to the throne would be his zeroth year; his first full year would be 597/596 BC, and his eleventh year, the year that Jerusalem fell, would be 587/586 BC. Since Judah's regnal years were counted from Tishri in autumn, that would place the end of his reign and the capture of Jerusalem in the summer of 586 BC.

    scholar,

    According to the following:

Does the WTS claim that Babylon fell in 539?

Does the WTS claim that the 70 years mentioned at Jere 25:11,12 represents the period of Babylonia’s greatest domination?

When was that 70 year period of Babylon's greatest domination?

    [Isaiah’s Prophesy 1 p. 253-254 par. 21-23

    21. In what way is Tyre “forgotten,” and for how long?

21 Isaiah goes on to prophesy: “It must occur in that day that Tyre must be forgotten seventy years, the same as the days of one king.” (Isaiah 23:15a) …True to the prophecy, for the duration of “one king”—the Babylonian Empire—the island-city of Tyre will not be an important financial power. Jehovah, through Jeremiah, includes Tyre among the nations that will be singled out to drink the wine of His rage. He says: “These nations will have to serve the king of Babylon seventy years.” (Jeremiah 25:8-17, 22, 27) … Evidently, the 70 years represents the period of Babylonia’s greatest domination— …But at the end of 70 years, that domination will crumble. What will then happen to Tyre?

22, 23. What will happen to Tyre when she comes out from under Babylonian domination?

22 Isaiah continues: At the end of seventy years it will happen to Tyre as in the song of a prostitute: ‘Take a harp, go around the city, O forgotten prostitute. Do your best at playing on the strings; make your songs many, in order that you may be remembered. And it must occur at the end of seventy years that Jehovah will turn his attention to Tyre, and she must return to her hire and commit prostitution with all the kingdoms of the earth upon the surface of the ground.”—Isaiah 23:15b-17.

23 Following the fall of Babylon in 539 B.C.E., Phoenicia becomes a satrapy of the Medo-Persian Empire.]

I have to admit that I am not the best when it comes to math but even I know that the following does not add up…

The WTS says Josiah reigned for 31 years:

[Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 2 p. 118

    Toward the close of Josiah’s 31-year reign (659-629 B.C.E.),]

[“All Scripture Is Inspired of God and Beneficial” p. 73

The people now make Amon’s son Josiah king. During his 31-year reign, he briefly reverses Judah’s plunge toward destruction ‘by walking in all the way of David his forefather.’]

They state that his reign was from 659 – 629. Well that is only 30 years NOT 31 years. Also they say the 13th year of his reign was 647 but being that they claim he began his reign in 659 then his 13th year would be 646 NOT 647. For it to be 647 the reign start would need to be 660.

[Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 1 p. 1013

During the reign of Judah’s good king Josiah (659-629 B.C.E.),]

[Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 2 p. 30-31

Commissioned as Prophet. Jeremiah was called to be a prophet when a young man, in 647 B.C.E., in the 13th year of the reign of King Josiah of Judah (659-629 B.C.E.).]

The WTS says Jehoiakim ruled 11 years but claim it was from 628-618, that is 10 years NOT 11.

[Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 1 p. 1269

Jehoiakim’s third year of his 11-year reign over Judah]

[Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 1 p. 708

King of Judah (628-618 B.C.E.) whom Pharaoh Nechoh placed upon the throne, changing his name to Jehoiakim.]

Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 1 p. 1268

Jehoiakim’s bad rule of about 11 years (628-618 B.C.E.) was marked by injustices, oppression, and murder.

[Jeremiah 25:1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in (624) the fourth year of Je·hoiʹa·kim+ son of Jo·siʹah, the king of Judah, which (624) was the first year of King Neb·u·chad·nezʹzar of Babylon.]

If according to the WTS Jehoiakim began to reign in 628 then his 4th year would have been 624 NOT 625. That also means that Neb’s 1st year was 624…let’s see if that WTS agrees with that:

    [it-2 pp. 480-482

Nebuchadnezzar ruled as king for 43 years (624-582 B.C.E.), this period including the “seven times” during which he ate vegetation like a bull.]

Well it seems they do agree with that start as 624 but they are off on their math again because they say he ruled for 43 years but 624 – 582 is 42 years.

And if Neb’s 1st year was 624 then his 18th year was 606, so he besieged Jerusalem in 606 NOT 607.

[Jeremiah 32:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was (606) the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar. (624- 582) 2 Now at that time the king of Babylon’s army was besieging Jerusalem;]

Now let’s compare secular history arithmetic:

    Josiah – reign 640 – 609 = 31 years exactly

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josiah

    Jehoiakim - reign 609 - 598 = 11 years exactly

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehoiakim

    Nebuchadnezzar – reign 605 - 562 = 43 years exactly

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebuchadnezzar_II

[Jeremiah 25:1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in (605) the fourth year of Je·hoiʹa·kim (609 –598) son of Jo·siʹah, (640 – 609) the king of Judah, which (605) was the first year of King Neb·u·chad·nezʹzar (605 - 562 of Babylon.]

[Jeremiah 32:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was (587) the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar. (605- 562) 2 Now at that time the king of Babylon’s army was besieging Jerusalem;]

    605 – 18 = 587 besieged Jerusalem

When was that 70 year period of Babylon's greatest domination?

How was Babylon dominating in 538 & 537 if it fell in 539?

[w80 5/15 p. 17 On the very night that Babylon fell in 539 B.C.E., the prophet Daniel interpreted the handwriting on the wall that had appeared to King Belshazzar: “PERES, your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and the Persians.” Daniel’s eyewitness account goes on to say: “In that very night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed and Darius the Mede himself received the kingdom.”]
