This is odd in that I was only thinking of Ian a day or so ago. I’m now 23 years physically free, and 13 years mentally free. Ian was one of many people who were kind enough to inspire me with his story and kind enough to help me make sense of just how there’s a vast difference between physically and mentally free. I remember a certain ApostaCurry in Manchester too. Sorely missed but glad he found his peace!

My thanks too, I remember well the effect his Posts, and his story, had on me when I first found this place.

A truly wonderful man with the best of hearts.

Ian and Claire were the first posters I met in person. Had a cup of tea at their home and collected Ians unwanted WT collection. They were a lovely couple.

Ians presence on this forum hasn't been replaced.

Never met Ian or Claire but did interact with him here when I first joined JWN. I think of him from time to time. Nice to see others do, too.

I remember Dansk and hadn't realized it's a long time since he's been on this forum. When did he last post here?

He last posted in 2008 and passed away later that year.

Here is notice from his daughter: https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/169341/rip-dansk-aka-ian-18-12-1953-20-12-2008

Isn't he dead? I recall it was cancer. Very sad.
