That one sounds familiar to me. I'm not sure on the spelling of the names but I remember J F Alee' (pronounced a-lay) and Jaime Renquist.
I believed he married one of my friends who was a good 20 years his junior.

Renquist was/is a flamming asshole!!!! His wife (by half his age) shit canned him and moved on with her life, good for her.

I cannot remember one name. I guess that says something about my time in the cult, I blocked it all out.

Didn't you just hate the hysterical laughter expressed by the congregation when a CO will tell a lame joke? One elder, especially used to laugh so loud and so hard, it was embarrassing.

I don't remember any of the CO's from when I lived in theh States. But a former friend went into the traveling work, Wasyl Siolkowski. Did anyone ever have him as their CO. Originally from Minneapolis/St Paul.

    Canadian ones:

Mary mentioned Rosam. Eugene. Never had him as a CO but he was at Bethel, in charge of writing at the time. He and his wife are now at Patterson. He is in charge of the HLC activities. Lots of blood on his hands now. Kind hearted man when I knew him.

Some repeats of those mentioned by the always lovely Pengy:

    C.O.s:

Jack Danley - By the book autocrat. Best remembered for his squeaky voice when getting excited on stage

Olavi Sundvall - Rule monger. Somewhat full of himself. Been beat up by the Society, is happy to stay at the cong level now

Zenny Pasternak - the Ukranian teddy bear unless you crossed him. Good man in general

George Krushelnicki - "Da Krusher" soft hearted grandfatherly man. He and his wife were very hospitable. Liked them a lot

    D.O.s:

Wayne Johnson - Jerk.to the 100th degree ... self-righteous dictator egomaniac. Fought with him regularly

Jean Crepeau (from Quebec; great speaker, with a ton of joie de vivre) - Agreed

AK, wasn't Grizzel the one you could almost bet on that you would not take a single door out in service?

I think he was in Michigan and he hated service more than us!

    Outaservice

When we had him, he was pretty gung ho in the service. He would be about 70 now I am guessing. He was about 5'8" tall, very wavy dark-blonde hair. This guy was so organized that one time we were at a door, I was about to knock, he stopped me, pulled a little 'call-book' out of his pocket with typewritten RV's in it - looked under our congo pages, found the addy and said 'I'll take this one, Jeff. I placed literature here on my last visit." I kinda liked the guy, really. But then what did I know - I was just kid. I think he was in our circuit Indiana 5 or 7 around 1973-74. Jeff
I was a teenager in Indiana at this time and remember Grizzel. I have the same thought - I kinda liked him but what did I know, I was just a kid.

The Marloes are wonderfull people. My family has taken them out to lunch and dinner a few times and we had planned to get together and play a little guitar together sometime but thats before his parents got sick. He seems stressed and i wouldn't be suprised if he left the circuit work.... poor dude! His wife and him are really loving huggy people like you said.
