I did an Indian cookery course a few years back and the tutor told us that curry is very healthy, most of the spices have health benefits (such as garlic for the blood and ginger for digestion). I don't remember her mentioning the turmeric though - thank you for this info, Gill.

Emo, ive texted Pubsinger and begged him to put in an appearance, but im relying on you for theatrical effects - big puppy eyes, tear trickling slowly down one cheek, heavy sighs, slow sad walking etc etc

    Do your best!

This is Pubsinger we're talking about - a sledgehammer might have more effect!!

Please put us down as a possible. We're thinking of going up to Scotland during that week and may be able to call in on the way home.

    Woo-hoo, that's FANTASTIC!!

I've had a word with a couple of the waiters and there is parking directly behind Forts of India for at least 3-4 cars. Also, after 6.00 p.m., cars can park on the single yellow line on Radcliffe New Road. This makes me think that 6.30 p.m. might be a better time to meet in the restaurant. For those who come early, you can call at my house, which is just one minute's walk from the restaurant, and we can all go down together later. Parking in our cul-de-sac is NOT recommended.

Please note, some may want to come but don't want to leave children behind. Children are welcome but we are going to the pub afterwards. So, if you want to bring your kids along and just stay for the meal that's fine. If it's a good day we can even have our drinks outside and have our kids there, too. I really would hate it for someone to miss out just because he/she thought they couldn't bring the kids! We want to meet you ALL!!

I can't wait to meet you!!! And no, sadly I shall be alone... Matt has several exams around October. He's a Specialist Registrar Clinical Oncologist, 12 months away from Consultant, and these are the final BEEEEEEEEG exams around Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy. Once these are out the way, we are one step closer to my 17th century farmhouse in Dorset with it's own private lake!!!! I have supported him through all his exams and training, so it's only fair I get to benefit from the ££££'s he will be earning! I want a hot tub and swimming pool, so next year the British Apostafest can be at mine!
