  Militant Apostates

  i'm wondering if there are many truly militant apostates out there....... some real god hating watchtower bashing hard guys....i just read the "bill bowen update" thread and feel that all opposition is good opposition, and knowing that the wt society can see any posts we make, also feel its a shame they can see squabbles among their enemies.

  Although I don't hate all JWs, I do hate the organization. I believe it is corrupt and evil, and there are few things worse than something corrupt and evil portraying itself as pure and good and the source of truth.

  I do hold JWs accountable for supporting the org in the face of evidence of its corruption.

  I do feel that all opposition is good opposition as long as it is based in fact and would not later harm the cause of those trying to uncover the WT's misconduct. Personality conflicts and moderately poor judgement are not what I consider 'harm to the cause'.

  In this case, the enemy of my enemy is...if not my friend, at least my ally.

  edited to say (since I forgot): Yes, I consider myself a militant apostate.

  125 years of the watchtower, and women are still considered garbage.. they cannot give talks, have a position in the congregation, cannot lead a study when a man is present, give a prayer etc etc etc etc.......... they can be of the annoited class, but a man who is a ms, still has more say !!!!!!!!!!.

  to all the women on this board, did this ever bother you as a jw, and does it bother you know ???.

  how can women sit at a meeting and in a round about way be treated like garbage and accept it ????

  You know full well that women wouldn't make it in the NFL.

  The vast, vast majority of men wouldn't, either. One of the students I work with is a former NFL football player. He's huge, and he was one of the offensive line, if I remember correctly, so he's not that big for an NFL player.

  Most men couldn't physically do what a balerina does. Neither could most women. Before you laugh, go find out what it takes to be a top ballet dancer (if you don't already know)...ballet (the topflight type that would be comparable to the NFL) can be physically punishing and brutally painful. And they have to smile and make it look effortless.

  There is a wide range of size, strength and body structure among 'normal' males and females. Some women are bigger and stronger than some men. Using the NFL as an example does not take this into account.

  Why do Men with Long Hair Never Style it?

  i saw a man at the docs yesterday....typical central ohio redneck.

  very skinny, long, scraggly hair (see pics below) and an overall *greasy* appearance, wearing too tight jeans.

  he was at the doc with his very overweight wife and mother, whose hair style he copies.

  What weird habits do you have?

  i always go to bed naked, even in the winter.

  i eat at odd hours, whenever i'm hungry, and that happens fast.

  breakfast at 6:30am, dinner at 10:15 am (i'm hungry) supper at 3:30 pm (still hungry).

  i talked to my brother today who is still a practicing jw (i've managed to fade) .

  we were talking and suddenly he asked me if i thought satan could read my mind.

  and he said "yeah i though the answer was yes and then i found out that satan cant read my mind".

  I love long hair. My husband has hair halfway down his back, because he's just friggin lazy. It does look nice when he fixes it, though. Most men just don't understand you need to keep long hair trimmed and taken care of.

  I was so heartbroken when he cut his hair when he was studying! I was glad he grew it back out when we left. It took me forever to get him to get rid of the mullet, though, he hated growing out the front and sides. Fortunately, he could almost always wear a cap or do-rag. He'd complain to me about growing it out, and tell me I didn't know how annoying it was. I'd always just look at him and say, "Oh, right, obviously. I'm a woman and I have no idea how annoying it is to try to grow your hair out." He eventually figured out why that was a dumb thing to say.

  SOJ explain how your conscience allows you to post on Apostate site?

  i am really curious as to how you will answer this soj,,,,,,,and any other active jw's who post here, even read here,,,,,,,,,because when i was an active witness,,,,,,,,i was taught that reading any apostate material was wrong.

  i didnt even watch a tv show that talked bad about the jw"s for fear it was an apostate program.. i know if you are caught soj, posting here,,,,,,you would not have been reinstated( you were right?

  I'm sure it makes SOJ feel very important and special and strong because s/he can come here and "defend her/his faith without being weakened or stumbled.

  Although it does annoy me that those JWs who are most vocal about defending the society are those who don't feel the need to follow the society's rules for themselves unless they want to, it is good that JW lurkers here see an example of someone not following all the rules. This can be a good thing.

  The WTS, Downsizing and Contributions.

  as most of you may have gathered, the past couple of years have seen some major downsizing in wts expenditure, not just overseas but in the us and canada, including the sale of some buildings.

  building projects have been shelved, some half-way completed.

  every congregation around the world was instructed to upgrade kindgom halls, probably for the purposes of asset protection, as the trustees of khs are only trustees *for* the wts.

  do demons flee when someone pronounces god's name, jehovah?

  i know this is a belief from the jws, but i don't know on what it is founded, or if it is.

  If, indeed, demons exist (the way the WT or other Christian groups portray them), and if they indeed to go away when someone says "Jehovah" (as if he's not noticing what's going on and you have to yell to get his attention - maybe he's on the privy??)...it's probably only because they think "Oh, ugh, a JW, let's get the hell out of here!"
