by The Bethelite in2020 the society will continue to have financial problems with massive pay outs because of their lack of protecting their young people from a religion that harbors thousands of pedophiles.
thus this and other religions that has an 1800's mentality will continue to lose their young people.
with the religion's lies easily found on the internet the smart ones will continue to leave in droves.

Yesterday's Watchtower Study (from October issue) "Stay Faithful Through the Gt. Tribulation"
by BluesBrother inthis article has all the trappings of wts apocalyptic theology, doom and destruction for "the world" salvation into paradise for the faithful .a schedule of future events is described thus :.
1) a worldwide proclamation of peace and security.
2) the destruction of "babylon the great"......it confidently names the characters from this visionary biblical reference, without any supporting reasons.. 3)the nations will then , as gog of magog , attack the wts and the members .

Again trying to scare the hell out of the faithful with their wacky interpretations of 'babylon the great',the '10 horns', and of course the ever popular "wild beast". I really liked the part of how the current 'governing body' will be "called" to heaven leaving the lesser earthly guys to get the jw's organized during the scary "great tribulation".
You gotta love the recalling of the RC's and how they prepared jw's for the future scary sh*t that's going to happen sooooooooooooooooooooooooon!

When one of the partners leaves the cult, it usually has a devastating affect on the one who remains in the cult. My wife and I went through that years ago.I thought about divorce but gave it some time. We are a divided religious couple but still relatively happy in our marriage.
I do attend some meetings and conventions with her just to keep in touch with some of my life long friends but it's hard to sit and listen to bullsh*t. Once you know ttatt, you can't go back!

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested about 143,000 immigrants in the country’s interior between October 2018 and September 2019, 10% fewer than they did the previous fiscal year. That’s the lowest level of arrests since Trump took office, ICE officials said Wednesday.
Deportations from the interior also declined 10%, from 95,360 to 85,958.
Matthew Albence, the acting director of ICE, attributed the declines in enforcement to the reallocation of resources to the border with Mexico, where a surge in asylum-seeking migrants has taxed federal resources. In May, authorities arrested more than 144,000 migrants at the border, the highest monthly total in more than a decade.

JW.org greater than the Bible now
by eyeslice2 inthere was a time when brooklyn bethel was emblazoned with the words; "read god's word the bible daily" but it seems to me now that even the bible has taken second place to jw.org.
i remember having lots of studies using the 'truth' book.
we asked the students in those days to prepare well and look up the scriptures in their own copy of the bible.

No more field service which I always hated!
No more having to be on high alert during the CO visit!
No more 'elders meetings' after the regular boring meetings!

Does anyone remember?
by dubstepped inso back when the borganization took over the congregations and their money when "forgiving" the loans for the mortgages, i seem to remember there was a congregation that stood up to them.
it didn't work, of course, but they caused quite a stir.
does anyone remember what congregation it was or any details where i could search and find more about it on here?
