What would an elder charge for a pay-for-reinstatement?
by sass_my_frass inokay, elder fantasy scenario #2: you've won lotto, more than you can spend in your lifetime.
so much that putting down a few hundred thousand to get your family back would be peanuts.
how much do you think it would cost to buy the most devoted elder?

Governing Body Going After eBay
by Gary1914 inhello everyone.. i don't if this has been posted before.
if it has i apologize, but maybe my version will add to what is already known.. my brother is a district overseer.
the society sometimes places conferences calls to do's, co's and other overseers, especially when it is something that they do not want to put in writing.

My JW elderly aunt just called me..........
by Mulan inshe lives thousands of miles away from me, and called me now to tell me how much she loves me and misses me, and she started crying, and could hardly get out the words, about the wt study for tomorrow.
she begged me to go to the meeting and hear the information, so i compromised with her and told her i would get a copy of the magazine and read it.. i felt so badly for her.
we were always very close, and her daughter, my late cousin sharon, who died in 2001, was my closest friend in my life.

WTS Has Lost +35% of Elders in US Since 1994????
by Seeker4 inzack, on another thread, said he heard this figure from the platform at both the 2006 elders' school and his recent pioneer school:.
that there were 93,000 elders in 1994, and less than 60,000 today, in the united states.. i thought these figures deserved their own thread, as they are shocking to me, and to see if anyone else has heard anything similar.. i'll post a link to the other thread as well.

Funny pet pics
by Jourles indo you have any funny pet pics?
misanthropic's puppy pics reminded me of a picture i had of our cat chillin' in a sink.
it's ironic in that she is extremely afraid of water - even little drops that splash on her.

The strangest looking (and acting) nut jobs you have ever seen at the KH!
by new boy inthere are so many after after 52 years in the "borg".. my top two would have to be at my last hall tigard oregon.. one lady slept in her pickup truck with 30 parakeets, sometimes in the kh parking lot.
people tried to help her with accommodations but she like the truck.
she really dressed up for the meetings......feather boa's, big hats, looked like may west from the 30's.
