Effective means of "apostasizing" at conventions and assemblies?
by stillstuckcruz ini notice most apostates will picket signs or try to place their own literature with the witnesses.
i cant see how the latter is effective since jw's are so heavily bombarded with warnings about apostate literature.
i was thinking that an effective strategy might be printing out lots of copies of older and current magazines, highlighting specific phrases and words, and stapling them together to show the obvious inconsistency of the wt.

Today's Watchtower Lesson Really Bothered Me...
by dontplaceliterature ini was a hair away from telling my wife i never wanted to go to the kingdom hall again after today's watchtower.
the conductor mentioned something along the lines of..."if you think having to shun your disfellowshipped children is bad...you should read up on the israelites.
when one of their children was disobedient to the law, they had to take the before the judges so that they could be stoned to death...and guess who's job it was throw the first stone?".

by blondie inhowever, love for god and for his.
our love for god and his dear son = is of no value unless we are part of the human/earthly organization, the wts.

So who is going to do some kind of protest next Sunday?
by serenitynow! innext sunday is the discussion of the 7/15/2011 wt article about shunning.
i am planning to stand outside of a kh on a major street with a big banner that says that the jws do indeed destroy families with their shunning policy.
i will have many copies of the article that will be discussed that day.. anyone else have any plans?.

It's my Birthday!
by drewcoul init's my birthday today, sept 19. i was born in 1972. .
i find it interesting that so many people i know post a "happy birthday" on my facebook page.
all of those years inside the wts org., and i always thought birthdays were evil, pagan, god dishonoring.

I am out (finally) - done with the Witnesses
by Anony Mous inhi, long time no see.
i am finally out of the borg.
had a talk with an elder-friend-family member today who said i should just do it if that's what i want to do, and my wife says if that's what i want to do that she's fine with it.

Am I on thin ice with my friend?
by cedars ini'm a former mts graduate, and it's a long story but i recently became inactive after realising it was all nonsense.
the problem is, i've noticed that my mts background makes it almost impossible for people to accept my new status as an "inactive" one.
people think that, given the amount of knowledge i have, there is surely no excuse for me to reach this preposterous decision.. a friend from my mts recently began emailing me to find out my reasons.

The evolution of the WT tyrant...
by Aussie Oz inmusing the other day...this is my take on the evolution of the watchtower.. once upon a time, i am sure old charles really was a believer...i reckon he probably still was when he died in his toga too, although perhaps somewhat befuddled that his cherished predictions were as successful as 'father' miller's were.
and by then he seemed to have inadvertantly started a sort of non organized organization that he could hide the $$ that came his way as a sort of bonus from the lord.. perhaps rutherford, i should say,''rogueford'', was a believer too at some point.
but some time after russel booted him out of bethel his inner killer instinct surfaced...waiting for the old man to pop his clogs.

Hello all
by Theredeemer inafter many years of visiting this site off and on since its inception i would finally like to throw in my two cents and opinions into the mix.. first of all, i am a born in, baptized at the tender age of 9. although i totally disagree with allowing someone at that age to get baptized, i will say that i was very imformed and i knew my dogma!
at the same time, though, i was aware of many inconsistancies with many of the beliefs and practices of the jw faith.
i was adopted by my grandparents since i was 2 months and they had been jws since 1950s.
