Liberal or Conservative?
by alice.in.wonderland inliberal or conservative?.
i see myself as a moderate, not just because of political neutrality but because the two ideologies have their strengths and inherit weaknesses.. http://www.studentnewsdaily.com/other/conservative-vs-liberal-beliefs/.
conservatives - believe in personal responsibility, limited government, free markets, individual liberty, traditional american values and a strong national defense.

How WT Apologists at JWN inherently break forum rules. :)
by Essan ini noticed the posting guidelines the other day as i was replying to djeggnog, one of our relentless wt apologists (although he's very unapologetic about it :) and i noticed one rule in particular that got me thinking.. seeing as such jw's are representatives of an organization that falsely claims to solely "represent" a pretty important person - god - and they frequently make the claim here that the org.
represents god on earth and that it's teachings are god's teachings - a claim they have been completely unable to substantiate - then i'm fairly sure they must be in breach of rule 7:.
"impersonating or falsely claiming to represent a person or organization".. so, if ever one was looking for a technicality on which to 'disfellowship' any particularly unpleasant and deceptive society worshipping spammers, then maybe posting guideline 7 might be the way to go.

Blood Fractions
by alice.in.wonderland insomeone is pressing me about blood fractions on an unrelated thread, so i just moved the topic to an appropriate location.. "the point for me in every thread you touch is your sickening dishonesty and nauseating apologies for the old men in brooklyn who tell you what to do.. they have told you that products made from blood don't use blood, and you are so corrupt and gullible you just accept it.".
i accept any bible-based religion that adheres to the bible as its authority.. the purpose of this magazine, the watchtower, is to honor jehovah god, the supreme ruler of the universe.
just as watchtowers in ancient times enabled a person to observe developments from afar, so this magazine shows us the significance of world events in the light of bible prophecies.

The fundamental flaw with the WTBTS as "God's Organization"?
by Essan inthere are countless issues that people have with the society and which together have led to many people realizing that it is not what it claims and pretends to be.
these include things like the secret un affiliation, contradictory and hypocritical stances, (malawi vs mexico vs un/ngo), the ever changing blood policy and ever changing doctrine, failed predictions for armageddon etc, etc, etc.. but what is the consensus about what the fundamental flaw is?.
what i mean is, many jw's hear about these various issues and manage to make endless excuses for them, even though this involves gross hypocrisy and excusing the society for things they would never excuse in other religions and which the society itself has ruthless condemned other religions for over almost 100 years.

Don't leave, its God's organization....
by dissed inrecently, i've been seeing this argument displayed here more frequently by those still believing jw's.. usually in reply to arguments they can not answer well, like 1914, generation(s), etc.... its almost like, they are are having serious doubts as well, but their fall back is, "but its god organization....where else would you go......don't leave, we are so close to the end".
as one recently shared their experience with a jc.
the elders, when feeling trapped on explanations, fell back to this defense.

Explanation for the generation in Matthew 24:34, Mark 13:30 and Luke 21:32
by alice.in.wonderland ini see quite a bit of inquiry about the generation in matthew 24:34, mark 13:30 and luke 21:32. in every scripture in the gospels, the term generation is referring to a wicked generation except for matthew 24:34, mark 13:30 and luke 21:32. .
then as an answer to him some of the scribes and pharisees said: teacher, we want to see a sign from you.
in reply he said to them: a wicked and adulterous generation keeps on seeking for a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of jonah the prophet.
