Day 2 of the Convention is over ... what's missing?
by wannabefree inday number 2 is done.. there was an audio drama, sure, it adds some excitement, hey, its different.. final talk "stay close to jehovah, as jeremiah did" ended with the release of the book ... god's word for us through jeremiah ... not a verse by verse consideration of prophecy, rather, what we can learn from jeremiah's life as a prophet, considers information from jeremiah and lamentations.
(of course informed readers of this site knew of this release already.).
noticibly missing ... jesus christ ... to me it was painfully obvious.. one talk i think was numbing our mind to accept the generation bomb tomorrow.. i couldn't help but realize that throughout the convention so far, the vast majority of scriptural references are from old testament (yes, it was hard not to say hebrew scriptures, so i just did).. i didn't realize it so much in the past, but it seems like jehovah's witnesses are trying to accomplish what the nation of israel couldn't, follow laws.

The Day After DC 2010
by wannabefree infacebook comments of my wife and friends are making me sick ... literally.. "great reminders" "loved it" "just what we needed" "love the way jehovah works" "very encouraging" "get better every year" "best convention ever" "what a boost".
what did i miss?
have i become a wicked fault-finding apostate blind to the encouragement?.

How come nobody told me about volume 7?!
by wannabefree inwhat the hell?.
i started reading coc a couple of weeks ago whenever i get a chane to hide out, i'm into chapter 7, great information.. last night i decided to listed to a couple of mp3's i found at freeminds.. if i wasn't sure already, they put the nails in the watchtower's coffin, especially gregerson's expose on his study.
similarly as gregorson, i too set out to try and boost my faith and prove to myself that i had "the truth".

The end of thought control is near! :)
by wannabefree inyou have nothing to fear but fear itself!.
*** w55 2/15 p. 100 wanted: robot minds for today ***.
men "faint out of fear" readily become robot minds.

Matthew 24:14 - past statements concerning
by wannabefree ini am just wondering .... one of the issues i would hold on to and i have used and heard others use in the ministry is about the preaching ... you know, only jehovah's witnesses are doing it, they are fulfilling this prophecy .... since the organization has predicted the date for armageddon in the past, did they ever make statements as to what degree this preaching had been accomplished or have explanations on this changed over the years as well?.

The Art of Deflection - Proverbs 13:12
by wannabefree inanother special assembly day experience .... this is one that gets me.
one of the talks went on about patience, stick with it, almost there, don't give up on jehovah, he's not slow respecting his promise, his patience saves lives ... etc.
it's not jehovah that i gave up on.

If the Governing Body had candor ....
by wannabefree inanother newbie thought ... i believe i saw another recent post mention a similar thought ... it is about the candor of those eaking the lead of jehovah's wintesses, namely, the governing body.. i have been bothered by this for some time now.
our publications point out one of the reasons we trust the bible's accuracy is the candor of its writers ... (yes, our publications, it is the natural was for me to speak at this time).. if only.
i really don't think i would have gotten to the point i am at if the organization was candor about mistakes.
