How did you fill the void after leaving?
by gutted ini'm curious about how people filled the void after leaving the jws.
i'm at a point, a bit over a year after leaving, where i am finding i have confronted the reality of my life and situation... and it's depressing.
i realize i have holes in my life (a significant other, social activities, something higher/beyond myself) which many worldly people naturally have filled but it feels unnatural for me, almost synthetic and it makes me more depressed the more i think about it.

How Many JWs Have You known Who Have Commited Suicide?
by Was New Boy injames olsen and richaed wheellock both bethelites.. rich templet.
rich and james out of guilt, richard out of depression.. james and rich were both under 30 years old.. after richard wheelock (a bethel heavy) killed himself the society changed it's stand on whether suicides could be resurrectioned or not..

How To Attain Anointed Status?
by Cold Steel inif i were a jehovah's witness, i would definitely want to be part of the anointed class.. if i were baptized into the religion and had answered all the questions correctly, how long would it take before i could claim anointed status?
apparently if i claim status, i'm questioned by circuit representatives who either agree or disagree.
i'm confused as to how someone would know they were of the heavenly class.

if you read Romans 8,it is easy to get the clue of how to become anointed. But you have to be very active also.Better still you are a ministerial servant or elder. However we still need to satisfy one condition;you have to be long in the 'truth'.

2012
by cskyjw.sun inmatthew24:7,8'for nation will rise against nation and and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.all these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.
' and according to the mayan calendar 2012 is the pivotal year(not 1914) and hence we could assume the events of matthew24:7,8 to be fulfilled from 2012 onwards and perphas then we could see the real tribulations upon tribulations.

born again
by cskyjw.sun injohn3:3"unless anyone is born again,he cannot see the kingdom of god".
this concept is not just restricted to the anointed ones,it applies to all christians.everyone needs to be transformed from the 'old ways' of living to one that is led by the holy spirit at whatever levels that one is able to attain..

Being honest with yourself, could you have reasonably adjusted your attitude and continued on as a JW?
by miseryloveselders ini ask this question in harmony with deedub's swan song thread which i linked below.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/private/205902/1/time-to-say-good-bye.
to some degree, i think i understand where she's coming from.
just speaking from my own experiences since stepping into the world of anonymous apostacy, i went through a few different phases of personal outlooks.

hi miseryloveselders
i see your true self from this particular post(the pros outweigh the cons).dispite all the negativites there might still be some plausible reasons why people remain in this organisation.i am a mentally depressed person.it seems that "my achievements" in the organisation make me feel worthwhile which otherwise make me feel that i am totally worthless.

Are you a fader, Df'd, DA'd, or Still In?
by brotherdan ini thought this would be an interesting poll that would show everyone the backgrounds of all of us when we left, if we have.. for myself, i am not df'd, but i am attempting a fade.
i still go to some meetings with the wife to help with kids, but that's it.
no commenting or field service.. what about everyone else?.

God Seemed to Write This For Those Disfewllowshipped but Love Him
by Perry inif you ever felt that you really did love god, but no matter what you did, ended up on the outs with your family and with the watchtower anyway..... these words have comforted me.. .
66. thus saith the lord, the heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me?
and where is the place of my rest?

Do you think you are normal?
by jwfacts ini always felt unique from everyone else.
being a jw i never quite felt like i was from the same planet as all the other school children.
as a jw i fit in, but still not quite, as i was a bit too indepentdant a thinker.
