Part 3: Abandon Ship! - Are They Kidding?
by Amazing1914 inthis is my final part in this short series.
in april it will be 14 years since i abandoned the watchtower ship.
reportedly, i am rumored to be disassociated as of july 1995. this ten year old watchtower "lead-in" article, therefore, is fitting to consider:

Did the elders ask for sexual details at your Judicial meeting?
by kid-A in.
i personally know of two cases where the witness being disfellowshipped was asked to provide excruciating details about the exact nature of the "sex crime" that they had committed.. having read the secret elders manual "pay attention to yourselves and all the flock" i know this is standard operating procedure for a judicial hearing.
for those that were disfellowshipped for a "sex crime"

did you ever have a crush on a married brother or sister, and they probably knew about it, just by your actions?

Stupid "Bible" Prophecies The Watchtower & "Slave" Fed Us
by minimus inbible writers must be rolling in their graves if they saw how their writings were taken apart and mangled by the "spirit directed organization".
the watchtower prides itself in getting ones 'tasteful spiritual food, nutritional", even!
what stupid understandings have the witnesses believed in over the years that show you they certainly do not have the "truth"?

They Tell The Elders One Thing And The Others Something Else!
by minimus inthe organization is so deceitful that they will tell the watchtower readers that the elders should deal mercifully with wrongdoers but in private letters or correspondence thru the circuit overseers, they will tell the elders not to allow "leaven" within their midst.
they say it's better to disfellowship and see whether someone's truly repentant afterwards rather than taking a chance to contaminate the congregation.......another example of their being two-faced is that they will tell the brotherhood not to buy homes, cars, vacations, etc.
unnecessarily as it could signal materialism, yet the watchtower society spends more money on real estate than we could ever possibly imagine but it's ok for them..........can you think of other things that show that the organization is hypocritical??

Circuit Overseer Celebrities?
by Delboy222 ini am a active jw, but one question i would like to know is why do these 'men' get treated as superstar celebrities when they attend the congregation?.
for as long as i can remember, there seems to be a 'buzz of excitement' when it is announced that he and his wife are due to visit.
what is so special about them?.

Do you join other religions to fill a void, or is it real to you?
by free2beme ini think this is a realistic question, as we were all so into the witness religion, in every part of our lives.
i can see where people would feel the need to replace that with something, as they would need to complete the missing pieces of their life.
i admit, when i first left the religion, i started attending local churches and even went to a bible study from other churches.
